    Did a 3 piece clutch replacement on my drive today, following your guide. Your guide was excellent, but, as always, I had a bolt that wouldn't move and added 2 hours to the job. The sense of satisfaction when everything went back together and worked was amazing. Thank you.

    hows it goin mate, good video! i recently bought one of these qashqais for my first car as a run a round cost me 1,500, when i got back and had a proper look over it, realised it was a bad purchase, its got near 170k miles on it so its wore in quite a bit, on top of that, someone crashed in to it at 2 in the morning while it was parked up, it caused the bumper to dint in but managed to pop it back out, but its slightly bent something to do with the front left wheel, so drives a little wonky

    Nice job! A few questions, if I'm allowed:
    1. Is it always a must to remove the box completely from the vehicle or is it just roomier to do so to replace the clutch assembly?
    2. What kind of solvent do you use to spray and clean the parts?
    3. How many days do you rest after such an undertaking?
    4. What kind of device you use to shot the video? It's generally very good quality.
    Thx. Keep up the good work!

    • @WMCS
      @WMCS  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Balo..
      you don’t have to remove the gearbox completely as long as you’ve got enough room to your discretion to safely remove and install the clutch.
      Any solvent is good. I use brake cleaner as it’s readily available for me.
      I used to do one clutch in the morning and one in the afternoon. Now I do one every day Monday to Friday.,, January to December.,
      I’m using a GoPro for filming.

      @WMCS  Před 4 lety

      Hi Sanesh.., it’s great to get a review from Australia 🇦🇺.., a place I’ve always like to visit .. is manual cars becoming a rarity now .., is it because of traffic

    • @sp2181
      @sp2181 Před 4 lety +1

      @@WMCS i dont think traffic is a major factor. People just prefer the auto over manual because it has lower maintenance cost. The cost of labour to do a clutch is in the $1500 for a corolla so people just fork out the extra few hundreds bucks and upgrade to the auto box.
      The are still petrol heads,racers, drifters who are still manual drivers but the vast majority done under would rather be in D at the lights than sitting there clutch in ready to launch like a bat out of hell.

    • @WMCS
