- Less than two years ago, I started my journey with this Glock 34 Gen 5. Since then, I have had nothing but success with her, climbing through the ranks in USPSA, GSSF, and Steel Challenge. 10k rounds later, no breakages, no issues, no premature wear, just pure perfection. Have I modified her, YES. She started out as a pure Carry Optics pistol, but quickly rose to a duty pistol as well. I tote her everywhere and change the minds of naysayers with one pull of the trigger. Hopefully she can help me gain Grandmaster classification soon!!!!

Coming from someone that primarily shoots Smiths, the Glock 34 is by far my favorite Glock pistol. I have an exact replica of his and its like a Cadillac of Glocks 👌🏽😌
Although I am an old school 1911 lover, that I use in weekly competition shooting, I bought a 34 gen 5 as well. Just to own a modern generation handgun. I put the Timney trigger in, full length recoil guide plus lighter spring and installed LPA adjustable sights. I am absolutely impressed with it and love it. Also started to use it in competition with good results. Love it. Greetings from the Netherlands.

About 15 years ago i had a pair of Glock 34's.
Loved them but we parted ways.
Now i am waiting for my new one to come in that i will be adding a Holosun scs mos
That SCS looks pretty cool. I have only a few mags behind one but it seemed solid. May replace this DPP with a Holosun Competition red dot. Love these gen 5 Glocks man. With a radian afterburner on the 19 or 19x, it’s hard to beat. My Glock 34 is really one of my favorite pistols I’ve ever shot. It’s just perfectly balanced for my shooting style.

I have a Leupold Deltapoint Pro on my new Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS . It’s a great combination.
Incredible combo….the SRO is good as well, but man do I dig these DPP. Need to try the holoson competition and may even venture to try the Burris that is massive as well. Love me a Glock though. Finally started to find some parts starting to fail.
Got my G34 two weeks ago, I'm loving it. Put a Glock Performance trigger and set of night sights on it. I have a 19, 19x, & 17 but I'm really enjoying shooting the 34, I think it's my favorite. Have 600 rds of cheap Freedom Munitions bullets thru it, it just eats them up. It's really funny when I'm out somewhere and someone pulls out a little 3 inch girlie gun to show and I laugh and pull out the long slide 34, now that's a gun.
Is it good for home defense compared to a 19x? Curious if barrel length makes it less ideal for defense…
Either one would be fine, but if your going to carry it of course go with the 19x, if your going to shoot competition go with 34. I have carried the 34 in a vertical shoulder rig and it works fine but I'm a big guy and have carried a 40 oz steel frame 1911 that way for many years so no big deal for me. Could you do a break-down of your trigger work? So you got the complete Timney trigger system and mixed it with the Taran Tactical Grandmaster kit? What did you do to get the reset where you wanted?
Yes sir, I installed the timney trigger and Taran Tactical Grandmaster kit. Then my connector snapped so I replaced it with the ghost connector. I then polished the FUCK out of the parts and then took some of what I read into consideration.
- stock striker spring (this helps the reset) More striker spring and less friction equals snappier reset.
This made my reset so much better!!!!!! If this doesn’t help, let me know.

Als erste Waffe werde ich mich für die Glock 34 Gen 5 Mos entscheiden. Mit dem Holosun SCS und einem Glock Performance Trigger. Obwohl viele Glock haten, habe ich von Anfang an super damit getroffen (und mit anderen auch oder besser) aber ich kaufe mir die glock, um die Leute mit ihren super teuren Waffen zu ärgern und ihre verwunderten Gesichter zu sehen 😂👍
Thanks for the video. In Germany you need 12 months and a certificate of competence to buy a pistol and you have to shoot it regularly. As the first weapon I will choose the Glock 34 Gen 5 Mos. Featuring the Holosun SCS and a Glock Performance Trigger. Although many hate Glock, I hit great with it from the beginning (and with others too or better) but I buy the Glock to annoy people with their super expensive guns and to see their puzzled faces 😂👍 keep it going👍👍👍

I would to start carry optics with my 34. I read somewhere that you cannot have magwells but I noticed you have one and a mag extension. Can I use a magwell in CO? Thanks
You are absolutely correct, you cannot use one. I shoot mine with a magwell when I’m at the range or in classes. I remove during competition. I have one on most of my pistols but use my 34 for a lot rather than just CO. She’s my main pistol for nearly everything which speaks to how much I like her.
You might want to reconsider the extended mag release for a carry gun. Some extend too much and can release your mag in the holster so that you end up with one shot and a mag on the ground! I saw it happen to a law enforcement friend. It was funny because we were in training and it wasn't me! BTW, love my G34. The State Police in my area carry them.
Yeah, I changed my mind about that. Now this was coming fresh off of a Canik review with their Rival. That firearm spoiled me as their mag release was CRAZY large. I’m fine with the OEM set up for the most part. Do want that slide release though. Have a great week brother.
@@cerebralfirearms I'll have to check that slide stop out. The Glock extended that's on mine seems to work well and is fairly unobtrusive. I don't have as many rounds through mine as you, I mainly use a G19 (Gen 5) for carry and a G30 (winter). Just upgraded my old Gen 2 G20 for a Gen 5 and haven't shot it much. Actually just put 100 through it this weekend to test functioning and break it in a little. That extra MM is m-m-good!
@toddschutter6535 I need to purchase a 48 soon but have been carrying an x-macro comp for a while. Bout to drop the video on it next week because it’s been about a year now. I can say, I prefer Glock 100%. I just shoot a lot better with them, even shadow systems. Tried the x5 legion for a bit during competition and wasted a couple months with that setup as I shot my 34 better even as a beginner lol. The slide stop is amazing imo. Here’s the site:

Hey i‘ve installed the timney trigger in my gen5, all other parts are stock. Now i have a trigger pull around 6lbs not the promised 3lbs. Do you have an idea what could cause that issue?

If you have Instagram hit me up in the DMs so we can figure that out. That doesn’t sound right at all. Something may be rubbing against the internals or the side of the grip. I have seen some that were out of spec or even a Gen 3 in Gen 5 packaging. Let me know when you send the message. Sorry this happened!!!

Holy cow. That’s incredibly high. Glock has a suggested MSRP here that they are pretty strict on but it’s always fascinating to see inflated pricing in other places. I wish they were so much cheaper but I think those days are done. I’m sorry brother.
Do you conceal carry this pistol also. I am getting ready to set my 34 up for carry and be one pistol for everything .. and get back into shooting competition
Nah, just competition and duty sometimes. I typically carry a xmacro for edc but will be changing that soon. I also typically use my MR920 Comp for most things. Glock is phenomenal but now that she’s in over 17k rounds, I’m having to replace shit. She’s been amazing up until this weekend and now she needs some tuning.

Love the 34, but mine is gen 3.
I enjoy most of the clones, but the Glock itself is a perfect brick imo. Nothing special but a blank canvas to paint whatever you fancy.

I love mine, all of them. They are also some type of Gen 5s as those are the ones I prefer. I’m at 20k now since this video was shot. I need to change some springs but they were aftermarket anyway. o Everything OEM has been perfect still.

This was a range. I shoot competitively but this place is just for fun. Most of my reels are static shooting due to not having a trailing camera but appreciate your input. Maybe that will be what gets me to GM as I’m stuck in A divisions in CO /s. Have a good rest of your day brother.

Timney Alpha Glock series. I now have the Johnny Glock Vex trigger shoe paired with it. Makes the reset wayyy better but wish I just went full Johnny Glock. It has over 25k rounds through it and hasn’t had an issue. It’s been good but for the money, you can definitely get better now. When I first put it in, they were the only company doing this type of trigger for a Glock.
My freind i have in my hands so many pistols metal polymer iron any one of any brend i make an horrible mistake sale my G19 and G17 becose the trigger into i test one G34 and G17 on the RANGE whit timney trigger change my opinion and i buy G19 gen 3 i instal timney trigger also P80 G17 i sold my cz75 and my tanfoglio witness PS put that money on the glock 34 so very Niiiiiiiiiiiiiice gun long but no heavy and shoot where ever you aim that bullet go

Mine has slight wear in the hood and front of the barrel. These coats of DLC are really good in a Glock. The inside of my slide is pretty worn, but that’s about it. Love me the Gen 5 Glock, especially the 34. She’s won me a couple steel challenges and two USPSA matches. She’s always well lubed and ready to go. Haven’t touched her much since this video though…. Took a small break from competitions to work on rifle skills. That and I had to review the prodigy and some optics. Have a great week.
