- Kyle and Katana have hiked thousands of miles together through remote wilderness on the Appalachian Trail and Pacific Crest Trail, among others. But then Katana lost her vision to glaucoma, and Kyle saw his brave and confident dog now feeling cautious to cross the living room. Kyle was determined to help Katana get back to what she loves. On this episode of Soulmates, we follow Kyle and Katana as they tackle their next big challenge: the 1,100-mile Florida trail.

@@mydogsioux I couldn't agree more. My wife is a cat person that taught me to love them but their is nothing quite like the love of a dog! Pure is the best word for it. All they really want is to love you. Being loved comes second. They know when you arent well or feeling down and the more love you give them the more they desire to be your protector!

I did not expect to start crying. I mean this is amazing, the bond between those two is something rare and it should be cherished. You can hear the love and care when he calls out to Katana. I mean "Come on little one!" Seriously. He really wants her to succeed and be happy, he helped her heal. I don't know them, but i'm proud of their journey.

I had a beautiful Shiba too - she came with me around the globe for two years. Brave and kind. She was sixteen when she crossed the rainbow last year. My heart is still broken. I miss her everyday. And I’m happy you’re not giving up on your furry soulmate. The challenge was meant to be for both of you - enjoy every minute!!

I worked with a blind shelter dog, she was truly fearless. She'd run like the wind and not mind bumping things. She really taught me about loving life no matter what shape youre in. She was also malnourished. But she was amazing.

This Dog got herself a guide human to keep on hiking. Good to know she is back out there.
God bless young man for what you did for to live the life she needed and wanted. I too had a blind and deaf Doberman. I got her from the rescue deaf but she eventually got cataracts and glaucoma. We went everywhere together.
