This album is absolute genius! It's a mixture of their old stuff, newer-ish stuff, and also just a completely new sound for them. It's the album I think many fans have been anxiously hoping for since FOAM, or even since the trilogy. They are BACK baby!
corvette summer is a little bit of School of Rock meets That 70's Show theme song. "And if you wanna be a teacher's pet Baby you just better forget it, oooh la la la, ooohh la la la"
i would give this album a weak 8. I am a huge green day fan. i think this is a decent return to form. i think there is only 1 skipable song and that is OEB. My top 5 coma city, strange days, living in the 20s, goodnight adeline, and suzie chapstick songs that feel like fillers: corvette summer (at least its fun), bobby sox (their weezer song but good), and OEB doesn't need to be on the album in my take. Some head bangers: 1981, Look ma, livin in 20s, and Coma City Heartfelt songs: Dilemma and Father to a son Ballads to me: Goodnight adeline, Father to a Son, and Saviors I feel like they could've done the title track better. Overall i love all the political stuff they pointed out Great reactions!!
