EVOLVE GTR REMOTE (R2) CONNECTED BUT NOT WORKING AFTER BEING DROPPED - FIXED

- After a small drop, my Evolve GTR remote looked as if it was connected to the board but the accelerator did nothing.
I tried trigger resets with no result.
I took the remote apart and found a tiny magnet had come out of the brake trigger. Slotting it back into place fixed the remote.
*NOTE: I take the remote apart, which probably voids warranty! This may not be advisable. But if you're like me and like fixing things rather than waiting for someone else to do it or paying for a new one then this might be worth a try!

Magnet was out of mine aswell! im glueing it back right now then i will reasemble and let you know if it works!
The housing of the little magnet had cracked around it when i had fallen and smashed the controller aswell. Didnt stop working until i stored it away for awhile tho oddly.
Did not work... disappointed weird tho because the magnet issue was the same.
This worked. The dislodged magnet goes is the end of an arm of the brake trigger, not the housing. You can unscrew the board for easy access. Just use caution around the screen as those are delicate as fuck. What I think happens is when dropped the magnet falls out the backside of the housing and just finds it's way to the adjacent magnet.

Fragile remote. Same thing happened to me. Magnet came loose. Sent it away, took over a month to get it back. I'm on my 3rd remote. My second remote stopped hold a charge so I tried to swap the battery from the first remote to repair the second remote and screen was damaged after putting it together. SMH. Glad they are finally selling the upgraded metal remote.
Thanks for the video mate. Have a similar issue but my magnates are in place, but when I push the case together the brake lever was acting like a kill switch and I had to fiddle around for a while to get it to work. Works for now but I think I'm missing something.
I just had this same issue. I actually realized the break button was held down and stuck down. If you pull the break button ALL THE WAY down and back, it'll accelerate like normal. So for me I'm gonna take it apart possibly to see what preventing the break trigger from releasing all the way back. Causing the board to think the break is still pushed. Hope that helps!
Same happened to me, I fixed it, then shortly after it stopped working again. Magnets in place but they are switched around and I don't know which on goes in which slot. Apparently it does matter which slot they are in
