Julia Kristina Counselling feeling paralyzed and not able to get things done. I remember a couple of job interviews I went on, and I completely froze at both of them. I couldn't seem to get my words out and the ones that did didn't make sense. LOL, it was so humiliating! It kind of traumatized me from doing interviews!

      Hi Julia,
I can relate to each of the 7... In particular 5, 6, & 7. On a daily basis I feel disconnected and have trouble with staying focused and often stuck. And the last one, I can totally relate...having a tidy house is comforting and makes me feel happy. When the outside world feels in dissarray, our personal space is like having a little retreat to relax and enjoy. So is there truth to "clean house clear mind" ?

My anxiety is horrible. I get nervous and embarrassed. I’m a mother, a wife and I’m feeling so overwhelmed and tired. It’s been heavy this week and now I worry it will happen everyday. I’m exhausted I just want to be free.

If I ask my daughter to do something and she doesn't do it in the steps I would I think it's not done correctly. Shaking having to pee all the time, controlling, having brain fog and also the feeling that I'm going nuts. I really hope i can over come this

Hit the nail on the head! The insight really helps simplify and tame the self-blame and create some distance from the symptoms (it's not ME, it's just something that happens sometimes) especially lately, I've been worried about the occasional disassociations or losing sense of self. It can be REALLY scary.

I have lived with generalized anxiety and panic attacks most of my life. At a very young age I had no idea why my heart would race and I would feel the need to run for help or that I was losing my mind being completely unaware of what these feelings were and why they were happening. Your videos have been so instrumental in understanding why and how my anxiety seems to be so much more troublesome that for other people. Thank you. I appreciate you and your videos so much.

  • @RunToEternity
    @RunToEternity Před 5 lety +3

I used to have anxiety almost all the time, whenever I had to be around people I didn't know that well. This was for me, I do believe, to be social anxiety. People would often say to me, "Why are you so quiet?", and "you should open up and talk more." It just wasn't going to happen. Whenever I tried to be more social, as in going to events, meetings, & such, it would be hard for me to talk much due to my anxiety. Whenever I was in a social situation, the anxiety was just there. I couldn't just turn it off, or get rid of it no matter how much I wanted to. People have labeled me as shy my whole life, and it is not something I have ever wanted to be, but I can't help it because of the anxiety I had. This has pretty much ruined my whole life, since I've dealt with it most of my life. Starting from my earliest memories as a child, I remember being this way.

Hi, I also can relate to many of these things as well that people have also commented on. The constant urge to urinate, is very annoying to say the least!! I also get the hot and cold sweats, dry mouth, nauseated, and feeling as if i'm almost depersonalized at times. Very hard to focus and concentrate on almost anything, even the most simplistic things, such as unloading and loading the dishwasher, doing laundry, and I find that I have to write "everything" down on paper, or "I will forget" it !! Very unsettling at times. Thanks for all who shared, as it gave me great insight to know that i'm not alone in this world with all of these "emotional" and "physical" things that happen in the body when hyper anxiety arises. Thanks everyone for all of the comments, as it has helped me a great deal!! Thank you to Julia Kristina for sharing this wonderful and insightful video.

I was put on medication for depression and anxiety and my eyes are completely fine now. I had no idea that it could affect your eyesight. I have also been so foggy brained I couldn't put sentences together or get through a conversation without crying. Thank you so much for your videos they have been so helpful.

Thank you for sharing this message, and the offerings you bring to the world .

Oh, yeah, we're familiar with "stuck!" Sometimes, when you know what's causing it, you can talk yourself out of being stuck, but sometimes that doesn't even work... At that point, I know I need to walk away and come back to it. Great vid, thank you! Not on FB, but sounds like a nice group.

I"m human! LOL Glad you are talking about this. annoying things.. love that you choose this word to talk about anxiety. She sure can be annoying and take us places that can sure work us up! She can take on a life of her own can't she! She is such a.... dedicated to us ... soul! I find, she really doesn't like to get wet and so that is a beautiful way to connect with her and calm her down! Awesome video! Important to be out here. ~ Elizabeth

I've never faced anxiety while talking to a group of people.... Most of the times, I get really anxious at night when I go to bed... When I lie down every night its like a wave of thoughts just rushes through my brain and I start thinking about stuff worrying that something bad is going to happen in my life, emotionally or financially or physically.. The thoughts are so vivid and terrific that my heart starts pounding coz i get horribly scared.... I can't for nights cos of this. Although I am not sure if this is anxiety or something else coz most people are anxious when they are in crowd, while i get really nervous right before sleeping...

So can anxiety affect you in your sleep? Like we wakeup feeling stressed? Still feel really tired, or wake up sweating but don't really feel very hot? If you answer this question thank you for your time?

Thanks Julia for your great tips on anxiety , I'm one of those who thought that I'm the only one who suffers with most of these simtoms of anxiety and for me this manifested in me suffering for years thinking that I was weird and I found out that I have social anxiety and I also would count in my head I would have to check the door lock several times or check the sockets and taps that I hadn't left the tap running it would be so exausting , but thank god I now know that I'm not alone in this god bless you for making a difference and helping people x 😀

You are SO not alone... or broken or weird - just struggling with anxiety which many do, and the good news is it's soft wired into the brain, not hardwired so can be re-wired with the proper help and support!

I've always done overthinking and perfectionism and focusing on little things, and not feeling good enough, but in the last period it's like 100 times more powerful, and I feel stuck. I never thought that I have anxiety I just thought that I was feeling a bit nervous. My problem is that I feel so stuck and I can't talk to anyone about this, not even my husband, and I would like him to know what I'm going through. I often feel alone on this way.

Great video, Julia! I definitely have experienced the "sweat" one when I've felt anxiety about a presentation before a big conference group when there were last minute tech issues or not enough time to set up and test presentation gear! It just throws everything off! :-0

I didn't go out tonight....because of Anxiety....so I was sifting through your anxiety videos....years of mental health issues it always comes back....phsychosis 5 or 6 times...it comes back when I get anxiety...my vision changes and I get delusions.....none of that stuff like walking ha it's the people staring at me I can't handle it...you even had me hanging upside down before....but meditation I'm learning...mindfulness meditation was the only thing (I was able to leave work and do this...family business) that used to work at it's worst...I'd go home lye on the floor cover my eyes and listen to tapes guiding me through a meditation and as though by magic it would go away sometimes in the 15 minute meditation.....otherwise like my last job it could last all day acute shake in fear anxiety until I went home and I'd do the above but just cover my eyes and listen to music and it would go away but not ever until I was alone...it's very hard.....I became a very good actor.....I didn't go out tonight I was supposed to be at an open mic performing my music....I used to go felling anxious and damn it to hell I'd go anyway and as I waited to perform it slowly went away...that fear...but I went and if I couldn't perform well I'd just leave no one cares.....I used to be scared to even go to the supermarket a lot of the time...people tell you your stupid but it's very real....so in my case it did get better...and oh your videos I think all that stuff does work for a lot of people...I need to excercise EVERY day or I feel anxious EVERY day but I do it in the mornings when I'm not anxious... you do things like that...I do do the breathing but it makes no difference to me unless I'm meditating etc and as I got to one of your first videos the message of "you got through it you can do it again" that woke me up a slight bit tonight because if you did that speech or whatever your scared of that trip to the dairy even ONCE WITH anxiety you know you can do it again because every time I've been scared sorry shitless and I've asked someone about it "I was having an anxiety attack the whole time???" they never noticed even if your voice wavers or your sweating people will probably just think it's a cute trait or something....anyway the things I wan't to do in life I'm going to have to just do it anyway if I was ever playing my own show etc you can't just cancel....and if it's a regular job which I do every day you just have to be nice to people don't bite their head off even if your just barely functioning most people are just barely functioning at EVERYTHING anyway....anyway I blabber to much and no one listenes to me and leaving these comment's always makes my anxiety much worse because I've overshared but there might be one person who finds it handy so I'll stop or I'll write a chapter by now take care out there....xxoo
