- Learn how to restore the subframe for your 2nd gen camaro to better than new. In this video, I strip the subframe down to bare metal using strip discs, roloc discs, and a harbor freight spot blaster. I sand blast the front end components. I then spray the subframe with Eastwood's internal frame coating. Next I spray everything with Eastwood's epoxy primer. I finish it all off with some Eastwood's Satin 2k Chassis Black.

Dan, come back, we miss you! Seriously, great content, very direct and straightforward in your presentation. We'd love to see how the Camaro turned out.
I second this.
For sure
I think he has passed away 😞
I always find video threads I want to follow that ended without finishing the project. Damn.
Dan these videos are great. I have watched dozens of videos on classic vehicle restoration and yours are easily top tier. Very nicely done hope you make more of these they are a wealth of knowledge.
Nice work Dan! Frame turned out great, all the prep time really paid off!
looks great. When it goes back together it will really feel good. Nice and clean and NEW!!
Awesome job Dan, I’ve used a lot of your tips when working on my ‘71 Nova
Great job! Looks great! 👍
You did a awesome job stripping that thing down.
The frame and parts look great in the chassis black.
Great content Dan, Wish I'd found your channel sooner. I'm in the process of restoring three camaro's (68, 70, 72). Keep up the Great work
you are doing really good work on that car keep it up,,...... have not seen anymore videos i hope all is good with u and ur family
Nice work Dan. I'm needing to do some sandblasting. So far this year it has either rained or snowed on my days off.
My alignment guy told me what a pleasure it was to work on my truck... probably the only other person besides us and tire guys to see all that work. Looks great !
Keep up the great work, we just bought a project 71 Camaro for my Granddaughter and all your videos will be a great help, I only wished they had these sites when I built my Chevelle.
Hope life is treating you well Dan!!
Just picked up a 72 camaro planning on doing this too!
Yeah we’re is this guy
Fantastic work making coal into gold keep up the great work Dan
Hey, great content. Just wondering if everything is all good. Looking forward to watching the rest of the car be built. Have you gotten rid of the project?
Man that Camaros gonna be done before we see another video , hi ya Dan
The glass bead media works good but if you dont have the psi correct it just pours out
Love your work! I'm planning a restoration on my BMW e36 M3 and am using your videos as guidance. One question about the subframe: do you worry about any rust in the interior?
if there is rust inside the frame the options u can do are very minimal to remove it, the best way is to do an electrolysis bath for maybe a week or so. then dry it and fast dip it inside primer.
Was looking at for a video that showed how to pull the frame off the car need some confidence and am a first timer and have the same car I’m not trying to buckle the cabin I just don’t know what to do.
Hows the camaro project going now days? I have a 71 I just started working on again after letting it sit in a storage unit for 9 plus years.
So did you get it all back together? Looks like it'll turn out great. It's been a while, starting to wonder what happened to ya. Hope all is well Dan.
how much was your old sand plaster cost because I need to do my caberallo 81 frame
I looked at mine and quickly decided it was a job for the powdercoaters lol
How much does it weigh do you have any idea.
How big is your shop?
I agree with the wire wheels. They are good but I am still picking wires out of my clothes.
I’m having to do this tedious process on my 1980 Camaro right now...
When are you planning to drop some more content, I just finished
Poor Dan, aliens must have got him
I wish I had done this and not used POR15
Again i ask are you coming back 😢
Dan, you ever coming back? miss the vids
Hey Anthony, I’ll be back soon. Thanks for checking in!
Weld splatter can do serious damage to your fingers .
Hmmm ok where is Dan ? He was just here?
Still waiting Dan still waiting
Wouldn’t it have been better to get the subframe chemical dipped…to get all the rust Inside and out
Dan is gone RIP
Say it isn’t so! 😢. I’m in the process of making his wheel cribs now for my 70’ Nova
Let's speak English. They work WELL.
