This headset is not new, but are good for that price.
Given that its priced at the same level as the Quest 3 , and it's not as good as the Quest 3, I really don't see the point on choosing this over the Quest 3.
that’s exactly what i was thinking. but considering the fact that you get compression on the quest devices. then i think the E4 is quite good. due to its clear, and regular displays. and generally good video quality.
It really is a headset that has some great positives and some minor negatives.
If you can get it up and running and play sim games is amazing.
If you want PCVR display port cable theN DPVR is good choice
Why would anybody get this over a quest 3? It's the same price and its only pro is that you can use DP, but then you can't run it wirelessly
This is a very fair point.
And that’s why I feel the way I do about it.
It’s not a bad headset… but for nearly same price I can get a Q3 which also acts as stand alone and the software is much easier to use on PC.
I can see if someone hates meta and plays only PCVR flight sims or racing games.
It’s hard because like I said. It’s not a bad headset… I think the company needs to focus on making the E5 the same price but give it some standout features.
Because quest headsets are a nightmare to get working with pcvr. The software breaks consistently with updates, the link cable gets artifacts that can only be removed with a cmd command,. My experience with quest 2 has been absolutely horrible in every way with link cable and wireless. I really want a plug and play compression free vr headset and quest will never be that.

I think it depends on what type of games you are playing.
Also if you do buy I recommend the face pad add on.
