  • Dave Chappelle and Ricky Gervais are being attacked over their highly successful new standup comedy specials. Both Ricky Gervais and Dave Chappelle made jokes that were deemed offensive and out of bounds by the newspaper The Guardian. The Guardian has determined these standup routines are not funny.
It's concerning that newspapers like The Guardian go out of their way to attack comedians such as Ricky Gervais and Dave Chappelle. One might think that The Guardians time would be better spent on covering political news during an election year, the war in Ukraine, the multi-front war in Israel, or tensions between the U.S. and China. But such a person would be wrong. This very serious author is covering the most important issue of our time. Policing Comedians. It's great that we have outlets like The Guardian to tell people which standup comedy routines are funny and which ones are not.
