The fact that Ryan Gosling did this stunt being completely terrified makes me respect him a lot.
Incredible. The entire first 4 minutes is a single shot (referenced later in the movie as a “one-er”. This movie has got to be one of the best, most entertaining ever made. It’s a love letter to movies and stunts filled with romance, action, humor, and nods to major films. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I’ve seen it twice and can’t wait to watch it again, along with all the special “making-of” features.
Not only that, they finish that continous shot with an actual stunt done by the actual main actor of the movie, who is harnessed into his safety harness during the shot. And admitted to have been terrified of the fall which happened at the end of this shot (so basically he'd potentially ruin the shot right at the end by showing he was terrified).
The guts to do this anyway.

This movie was surprisingly great! The script the chemistry the action the direction! We loved it in the cinema as a family!!!!
I enjoyed this movie a lot more than I thought. I would. The marketing just doesn’t show how good this movie is Ryan Gosling carried and he’s a comedic genius.
The marketing made this movie into a perception of low taste comedy film, see all of its teasers and promos you'll understand what I mean. And many shots in trailer was cut in the final film. How can you show a movie trailer without those bits in the final film? You ain't Marvel to tease audience with fake trailers. The last time of bad marketing of a good movie I remembered was Babylon, again it's Universal Pictures. What happened to their marketing team?

@@janebarry-fraundorf4623 No it bombed. Movies need to make 2.5 its production budget just to break even. It cost 140 to make and only has around 150. So it lost the studio money. Hopefully word of mouth can carry it too 200 million and the VOD sales push it towards profitability. However, its not likely. I hope so though I loved this film.

You are joking, right? The Nice Guys sold me on Gosling, The Fall Guy finished me. He sucked, Blunt was worse.
Gosling is good in every movie I’ve watched: drive, the notebook, the nice guys, hamster squad, the big short, the gray man and the fall guy. Emily Blunt is always good I’m going to watch her Marry Poppins now.

Didn't see this movie because I hate Bullet Train. But this preview was really well done, the opening one shot sequence is well directed, and the cinematography was pretty cool. I'm definitely gonna watch this movie.

Yeah, there's a few haters amongst a number of bots. I'm neither, and I've actually seen the film twice at the cinema. It reminds me of the rollicking action blockbuster romcoms of my youth - especially of Harrison Ford's early movies but also Romancing The Stone and The Fall Guy series itself. I'm keen for the digital download when it eventually becomes available here in Australia.

The marketing was amazing for this movie. But for as much critical love that it’s getting, it was just OK for me dawg. Ryan and Emily didn’t have a lot of scenes together and the chemistry is better in the interviews than it is in the movie. JMO

The clip title is misleading. The whole scene is a flashback, part of the backstory for the lead characters of Colt and Jody (and others).
The action in the movie was really good. But it did not work well nevertheless. The movie wants to be a fast action movie but is way to long for that with there also being to much talking going on. It worked well in the other action movie he did recently The Gray Man but that was non stop action.
I enjoyed both movies - including the romcom aspects of The Fall Guy - and I am looking forward to the extended version.

I walked out after 20 minutes. Terrible dialogue, Blunt plays a young seductress; she's 41 and looks every day of it. Plus they don't meld. A disaster of a movie.
she’s not supposed to be a young seductress, they are both in their 40’s and are supposed to be. you seem to be projecting what you want to see
I've only ever walked out on one movie and it was a horror movie, you got to see these kinds of movies for what they are, a fun family movie with a feel good vibe. It had a good message and theme too.

Bro I've watched movies with worse dialogue so I think you're exaggerating. This movie is supposed to be just a dumb fun film to watch with your friends and family which I honestly enjoyed so much that I ended up watching it twice.
The movie knew exactly what it wanted to be and succeed not to mention had great action, funny moments and a decent message so I honestly think you missed out by leaving so early.
