Remarkable longevity for sure up until not long before his passing still made occasional overseas trips to visit his daughter Juliet and her family in California.
He was always such a gentleman and incredibly talented, having played a copious amount of different characters over his career. I’ve recently watched him in the thriller “The October Man”. So greatly missed.
Great, Alan! This is amazing. Did you know I was working about a documentary about him? Footage, books, films, checking his TV appearances at the British Film Institute, etc. Did not know this one. I went to Denham and visited his tomb more than 20 times. He lived there during half a century. Anyway, nothing what to do with him where I am now, in BA. Have to go overseas again. jcf.
Looks fit and agile for 80. I miss his generation, shame most have all gone.
Really enjoyed seeing him in a Hobsons Choice

Sir John so very much deserved his Academy Award for ‘Ryan’s Daughter’. He was bloody brilliant! 🇨🇦
My favourite actor, some wonderful films - this interview is a treat to find.

This guy was absolutely brilliant as Col. B.Brarrow, in “Tunes of Glory “ long before the condition of PTSD was even known.
I fully agree.
Well said. Wonderful performance.
Class act all the way. Love John Mills!
Brilliant actor in so many films.
I really liked him in, "Great Expectations". I think that movie is one of the best movies ever made.
Always liked him; he was great as Michael in Ryan's Daughter(didn't he win an oscar?) - one of my favourite films!☺

Of course, I started with Guinness first, which was my all my life favorite.
I collected a lot of footage about him and spent studying all my life.
Good luck with it!
Seen all his movies. My favourite is Hobson's choice.
Just finished watching that now!
