The limitation from the stupid ass once a year voting is so dog water I wish they’d just add things that are interactive or are JUST FUCKING NEW AND D O THINGS LIKE THW MObs in these mods > these stupid useless ‘collectible’ passive mobs e.i. Polar bears, fox’s, birds, rabbits, and even axolotls (I get they’re ‘dying’ species but at this point they don’t even drop anything USEFUL OR COOL INGAME AND DONT ADD ANYTHING TO THE GAMEPLAY) Like even things that just already FIT into the current awkward world over some IRL animal shoved in would just be so fucking nice
@@DelRae personally, I don't really care whether an added mod has a major use or not for the player. Uniqueness and interactivity are definitely important though but... It's just, in a game with such a vast world, a world with diverse biomes. It just feels so, empty. As a biology nerd, I look at my world and traverse biomes only to think how something is missing. No bugs or birds singing in the forest, no megafauna roaming the savannas (farm animals don't cut it), not enough animals that are supposed to reflect the uniqueness of the biomes. I get that it's all for the purpose of balancing and optimizing, but, at least to me, there's nothing wrong with adding something that isn't a big game changer. Game mechanic is great, but trying to make the world feel more alive would add to that sense of wonder and adventure.
Fun fact, the 'Sad lizards' were a typo from the mod creator, Joosh, when he intended on annoucning that he would be adding 'Sand lizards' but misspelled sand to sad :)
I remember that I didn't like this mod before, playing the "better minecraft" mod pack I ran into yeti and he killed my dragon, I was so angry despite mstsr to the yeti, I didn't find any compilation on youtube that told me I saw that the yeti drops were useful, but in the end I tried the mod and the others that the creator has and I liked it a lot.
Just one of these mobs would take the actual devs a full year to make
and then they would let us just take one via voting...

@@tea830fae8 The ambient sounds mod is a great solution to this, it adds tons of ambience (besides music)
