  • Perfect love casts our fear. And certainly, the love of God for us is perfect. Yet, fear reigns often--in our hearts before God and even in our relationships with others in the church.
Here’s the thing, fear is actually a hindrance to repentance. Are you having a hard time repenting? The answer is not fear and dread. The answer is to lean into the love of God for us. United to Christ, trusting his righteousness, we walk by the Spirit. And there is freedom unto repentance.

Repentance is Granted to us by the Mercy and Grace of God! We hear by faith through the help of the spirit, the Holy Spirit testifies to our spirit the love of God, we hear and see that God has better things for us, we believe and agree with God. We see with new eyes of faith and receive truth and a love for His truth we abandoned the old way of life in exchange for a life yoked to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Yes we grow in repentance as believing and agreeing with God is the result of Love of Christ in the hearts of the saints.
The old man has been defeated, we are reluctant to leave this body of death behind, repentance is Gods Grace that will separate us from this Corpse. It is as we see and smell the stench of death that we will willingly lay our life’s down at the foot of the Cross.

We should never pull away from the Lord Jesus when we sin.
Keep your eyes and faith on Jesus who is the finisher of our faith as we read in Hebrews 12:2,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Our part is to believe the Gospel we read in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 and leave the rest to God.

Thank you so much for this! I actually was thinking just in the same minute I saw your video thumbnail the EXACT THING YOU'RE SPEAKING ABOUT!! It's taken me years of grief and backsliding to come to a place of realizing that, despite so many of my Christian friends SPEAKING to me, a few Pastors SPEAKING to me, that because of my need for perfection, my earthly father and his personality, anger issues because of rejection growing up from my mom, who told me for a long time as I grew up that it would have been better if I wasn't born, because she didn't want anymore children, she was too old, and after me having a serious complication and my appendices bursting in my stomach, and the poison was going through my system that God could have put me at rest, because she would have been better off, even as I speak I feel the anger!! At 11 years old, I had an encounter with God, I knew it was the Lord Jesus Christ, even though at the time I was Catholic. It was from the Holy spirit, 100%, and a beautiful white light, like stage lights, was coming up my block where I was standing in my gate, and it illuminated everything as it came towards me. It came right up to me, like a beautiful cloud of exceeding glory, and although I didn't hear anything, I actually woke up the next morning, and felt an incredible love in my heart, and ran downstairs and told my mother that God loved me and wanted me to serve Him and give Him my life, at 11 years old!! Throughout my life, God faithfully brought me from a Catholic Charasmatic church experience, into a Bible believing born again Christian one, and by the time I was 28, in 1990, on Palm Sunday evening, as I went to bed, I felt the presence of God as the Holy spirit started, as I closed my eyes to lay down, illuminate my spirit, just a gentle feeling of something quickening me on the inside, and I wondered what it was, and dozed off. The next morning, when I woke up, I instantly felt different, and everything looked extremely clear, bright, and colours shone brighter than ever! I knew in my heart that the Lord had freed me, and I was really really born again, and walked with God and He did so much more then I could have ever expected, in my home, my family, but after several years, I started to not even realize I was slipping, and after my husband suddenly passing away, at 35, I was 32, with 4 young children, and I was devastated! I put on my super Christian face, but eventually became clinically depressed, with panic attacks, and was in and out of the hospital, until after many meds, years later, I started to believe I was past forgiveness, but I'm still here, even though I hurt my children, the life was excruciatingly painful, I've been seeking God, and unbelievably know He was still there!! AMAZING LOVE!! Thank you so much, this was a blessing from heaven!!

I’m spending a lot of time in Romans and I know the Scripture is true and clear in what it’s saying. It just really hits home when I think about my kids. Romans 4 says that you are saved regardless of works. These guys are preaching another gospel. Tell your children that to be saved all you must do is believe on the Lord Jesus. Repentance of sin is something we work on after we are saved and repent itself just means to change your mind about something. When you investigate the word repent in the bible you will see that God Himself repents more times than anyone and that clearly means that it cannot mean to repent of sin in order to be saved or no one could ever be saved. It's so simple. Jesus died for you and I and He did not tell us to lay down our lives for Him. That is something we choose to do in response after we have accepted that He paid our price and there is no amount of good works we could ever do that would warrant our entry into His kingdom. It's merely by His grace through our faith(trust) that He told us the truth about dying on our behalf.

      @dman7668 Před 3 měsíci

@@pigzcanfly444It's true that no amount of works could ever get us into heaven based on strict merit. However what you don't understand is that there are different kinds of merit. You are not even getting into heaven based on your faith. You are being saved by God's grace.
God merely accepts your faith as a means of justification, he also accepts our good works after initial justification by faith as a means to complete our justification. Because what Romans says is that eternal life is merited according to our works. It's not by faith alone.

    • @pigzcanfly444
      @pigzcanfly444 Před 3 měsíci

@@dman7668 James 2 is speaking of profitability of your faith for others and justification before men. Romans 4:1-12 clearly says that a man who does not work but believes on He who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted to him as righteousness. Ephesians 2:8-10 clearly says that we are saved by Grace through faith, not of works lest any man should boast. Titus chapter 3 says not by works of righteousness that we have done but according to God's mercy He saves us by faith in the finished work of Jesus. I could go on and on with these passages but it's very clear that if you believe that works of the law save or justify a man then you must keep the whole law and when you stumble at one point then you have broken the whole law. You are not justified before God by any works and are saved by Grace through faith in Jesus alone apart from works lest any man should boast. Don't be fooled into thinking that doing good works will ever justify you before God. You are saved the moment that you trust in Jesus alone, justified, sanctified, born of the Spirit, positionally secured and sealed until the day of redemption for the gift of God is eternal life for all who believe on the Son. Repent and believe today.

So encouraging! This is truth and the truth sets you free. I just recently left a church that crushed a brother (a dear friend of mine) by telling him, "there's no way you can be a Christian having done what you've done". I've known this brother for almost a decade, working closely with him, and I have seen God's hand in his life. He sinned against God and his wife, but he was also very broken over it; devastated actually. I have shared your podcasts with him and hope they encourage him as much as it has me. When you hear truth, it just resonates with your soul. What a refreshing find! Thank y'all! Also, having left a Dispensational MacArthur like church, I am in a PCA church now, and I thank God for this new church. I have eaten up your podcasts on Covenantalism and reformational beliefs. I thought I was reformed before because I held to the five Solas, now I know better, lol. Thank you again! I'd love to ask some questions, but I'm sure this is not the forum for that. Do we really know that we are the chief of sinners ? I don’t say that to guilt anyone but it’s as you believe why Christ had to die for sinners that we begin to apprehend the radical grace you guys preach. Gods Grace is radical, beyond anything we can imagine, and yet we look at other’s and say to ourselves, yeah Christ needed to die for that sinner. Maybe not aloud, but down deep we don’t truly know the depth of our need for a Saviour to save us and a Lord to keep us. Christ does not sacrifice himself every time we sin, it was a once for all sacrifice, but now He sits at the right hand of God and has all authority to keep the promise, that He shall lose none that the Father has given Him.
It’s not our feelings about what God thinks about us, it is our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ that saves us and keeps us. Do you see the distance between our sin and God’s Grace? But for the Mercy and Grace of the Cross of Jesus Christ, that you have received! It is always a looking to what God said about our standing with Him. We are drawn to what Jesus Christ has accomplished for those that believe in Him alone by Faith. We tell the Good news and God will apply his truth in mercy and grace by the power of his Holy Spirit. It is God who grants repentance for the forgiveness of our sins, as we point and look to Christ our assurance that God’s promises are true, do we ponder the wonderful Cross?

But do we realize that your spirit was dead and is now alive to the life of Christ! Even united to Christ, and yet we continue to live in the flesh! Repent means change your mind and recognize that only the blood of Christ can atone for sin (once and for all sin, for all time) - not your religious dead works of "repenting of sin". If you think you are not a sinner, you are a self-righteous Pharisee and the truth is not in you, but that's why the modern Pharisees love their modern corrupted versions of the Bible that say "repent of your sin" is a precondition of justification. God doesn't want our dead works, He rejected Cain's works and He rejects ours as well. God doesn't want you to try to show Him how righteous your religious flesh can be, only a theologian could believe something so hideous and non-biblical. The Pharisees hated Christ for the same reason that the modern Pharisees constantly teach people to focus on themselves and their own behavior as a (false) means of salvation...

Jesus had to fulfill his earthly mission from the Father, i.e., to atone for our sins. That not only involved his Passion, Death and Resurrection, but also his Ascension into heaven, which fulfilled the Day of Atonement sacrifices (Heb. 9:11-14; see Lev. 16). That is, Jesus had to ascend into the heavenly sanctuary, not an earthly, manmade one in Jerusalem, to fulfill his Paschal Sacrifice in atonement for our sins (see CCC 1085). And that’s why he had to depart from us, even though he always remained with us invisibly (Matt. 28:20).
Having completed his one Paschal Sacrifice in everlasting glory in the heavenly sanctuary, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to help his apostles make disciples of all nations through baptism (Matt. 28:18-20), with the Great Commission being implemented first with the Jewish people to whom Jesus was first sent (Acts 2:37-39; see Matt. 15:24). In short, Jesus needed to leave us to finish atoning for our sins, so that the Holy Spirit could come to mediate Christ’s forgiveness beginning in baptism and also provide us thereby with God’s life (2 Pet. 1:4).

That He manifests Himself to us (John 14:21).
That He and the Father make a home in us, not a distinctly different god (John 14,:23).
Jesus said He is omnipresent here on earth, personally, and not an anonymous spirit (Matt 18:20).
Apostle Paul said we are reprobates, if we don't know Jesus Christ Himself is in us (2Cor 13:5).
Apostle John did not say it is antichrist to deny a Trinity, but ONLY to deny the Father and the Son. John also said the true God is the Father and the Son ONLY (1John 5:20), and that our fellowship is ONLY with the Father and the Son (1John 1:3).
These, and hundreds more references, are all glaring errors in Scripture if a Third Person spirit, who is God, and is NOT the Father or the Son, is true.
Having the truth, to honor only the holy Spirit of the Father and the Risen Son (Acts 2:32-33), has deepened my faith, communication, and knowledge of Him throughout Scripture.
    1 John 5:20 NASB95
And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so *_that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life._*
    John 6:46 YLT
not that any one hath seen the Father, *_except he who is from God, he hath seen the Father._*
    John 17:3,5 KJV
And this is life eternal, *_that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ,_* whom thou hast sent.
[5] And now, *_O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was._*
    John 8:18 KJV
I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.
    1 John 2:22 KJV
… *_He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son._*
    Genesis 1:26-27 YLT
And God saith, `Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness,..
    Matthew 19:4-5 YLT
*_He who made [them], from the beginning a male and a female made them,_*
[5] al… For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, …, *_and they shall be -- the two -- for one flesh?_*
    John 10:30 YLT
‘I and the Father are one'
    John 17:21 YLT
that they all may be one, *_as Thou Father [art] in me, and I in Thee; that they also in us may be one,_* …
    Revelation 22:3 NASB95
There will no longer be any curse; *_and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him;_*

”And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. @@rookie4311 That verse was "discovered" in the 16th century. The KJ translators have been the only ones to insert it, as they admitted frustration with finding no reference to a Trinity in the original manuscripts.
