      You agree that Jesse has helped many people “but” folks need to give up the processed and sugary foods? Isn’t that pretty much what she’s saying?

    • @carolineyunker9
      @carolineyunker9 Před měsícem +1

      @@baccaratfitness2360 Not exactly. She provides "hacks" so we can continue to eat processed food. I think those hacks work for the relatively young and healthy people who are not diabetic. But the hacks are not as effective for people who are already diabetic. Those people need to more than drink vinegar or walk 10 minutes after eating.

    • @baccaratfitness2360
      @baccaratfitness2360 Před měsícem +3

      @@carolineyunker9 I think most everyone knows they shouldn’t be eating processed or sugary foods already. Her approach lowers the temperature and allows for some flexibility because most of us are so addicted that we tend to see things as absolute and more than often fail in our attempts to eat perfectly. If one can do these hacks and get some momentum and confidence it makes eliminating the processed foods more achievable.

      @@carolineyunker9 well you are absolutely wrong about that many many diabetics credit her with changing their lives and putting them into remission so you just happen to be completely wrong on that score. Moreover it's much easier and more effective this way, It's just true. If you eat the standard American diet you aren't going to consider switching, you have no idea how. This provides a framework to work from and as you get used to eating whole unprocessed foods and less sugar your cravings will go away (they arent inherent or natural they are learned) making you want to go back to your previous diet less as you will no longer crave it or find it palatable. Your taste buds are incredibly adaptable and preference is just our biological understanding that something is safe to eat. As you said Jesse has helped alot of people and she did that by making something that worked not something that's perfect.

    Wow! Fantastic interview, with two great people. And Casey really pulled more of the science out of Jessie than I have seen in other videos. And this talk makes we question whether most of us (~88% of Americans) are actually metabolically unhealthy, or if we have just lost touch with how our ancestors used to eat (order of foods, etc., which are now Jessie's hacks). If they had eating traditions that were healthier, that they developed by trial and error over time. As in, we're not broken, we're just eating the wrong way.

    It’s always made sense
    to me that dessert should only be eaten after a proper meal. To much fast process food is the problem. Get back to basics. We all know we eat crap when we have not planned for our meals accordingly. My favorite lunch time meal is leftover protein, a small portion of brown rice, and lots a veggies (usually left overs) also a big handful of spinach, a little feta and a drizzle of olive oil. When I eat this on a regular basis, I’m good. I also try to fast most days from 7pm to 11-12 am the next day. Vacations and getting sick really derails me though.

She has given us great hacks. Well done, and she does point out that the hacks are great and work almost as well as the new supplement and that if unaffordable one can continue with the hacks. Human psychology, however,works in a way that means some suggestion re. a health professional creates a crafty demand. Kerching!

    33:05 What's the obsession with breaking things up into silos? It's the scientific method, the literal scientific method. One of the key aspects of it is to isolated a single variable to test and keep everything but that one variable identical in all variations of the experiment. You vary only a single thing.

    Is it enough, or are we missing out any factors that perhaps do not get enough attention? THAT should be what we need to focus on for a more holistic approach instead of doctors shrugging their shoulders because they still don't know how to connect the dots between metabolic pathogenic phenomena and coordinate successful countermeasures - even if it means crossing the borders of other medical disciplines... Example: nutritional aspects of ADEQUATE nutrition and NOT forcing to go for foods that just look like balanced MACRO-NUTRIENTS and do not pay enough attention to MICRO-NUTRIENTS. Beans, Lentils and other Legumes are among vegetarian foods along with cruciferic ones (like leafy greens such as salad, lettuce, radicchio, kale, sauerkraut, broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts etc.) UNDERREPRESENTED in mostly unsalted hospital menu choices, whereas bread, rice, potatoes etc. has too many starches and little to no fibers. Damn it, these facts are well known by now in our century - so why do we still allow food which is hardly any better than fast foods or TV dinners to be served to us in hospitals? IT'S NOT HEALTHY!! How are patients supposed to recuperate if their meals are not adjusted to their needs? Huh?
