    Good vid, not the way I would go but nice mods. Can't believe you've got six thumbs down. Crazy.
    I dig the paint tho, it's the way I want to go. Hung around YAM flat trackers in mid '70s and first bike was a Kenny Roberts RZ350

      Rick Buckle ....9 now.... Im very sad for those 9 people that don't get the significance of the Kenny Roberts era paint scheme

    I am trying to find the tail/brake assembly you used. Do you have a part # or is this no longer available? I am cannot seem to locate it.

      Hi Tim, thanks for watching the video. The bracket/mount assembly was custom made. We did use a Motion Pro Enduro Style Taillight though. This one: www.chapmoto.com/motion-pro-rubber-mount-enduro-taillight-320-1250

    Hi, Can you please send a link to the headlight that you swapped out? There is a link for the brackets, but I am looking to replace the entire headlight assembly. Also, do those cool headlight brackets work on the stock headlight?

    • @chaparralmotorsports
      @chaparralmotorsports  Před 8 lety

      Here's a link for the headlight we used. You can try to use the stock light however, you'd have to do some modification to the bucket. The aftermarket light has bungs on the side for an easy install.

    Beautiful chop/modification guys! I love it!
    I just purchased a 2015 R-Spec and am looking at upgrading the exhaust with a Vance and Hines Twin Slash Staggered Full System Exhaust. I am new to the bike world and want to know your thoughts on a full exhaust, versus buying the slip on like you used on this "scrambled egg."
    ALSO, since you put this video up, does that mean that Chaparral Motorsports will be offering this mod package to customers!?! IF so, what kind of money would a customer look at (round about) to purchase this package/these mods?
    Thanks in advance guys!

    • @chaparralmotorsports
      @chaparralmotorsports  Před 9 lety

      +MCGblue Vance and Hines makes great exhaust systems. With a full system like the Twin Slash you are looking at you'll get better overall performance (better HP & TQ) as compared to just a set of slip on mufflers.
      As for the package we currently don't offer a kit or anything like that to replicate this look. We haven't decided yet if we are going to manufacture and offer the subframe assembly.
      Hope that helps
      -EE

    • @MCGblue
      @MCGblue Před 9 lety

      Thank you for the fast response EE! Yes, you did help out a lot. I am going to go with the Vance and Hines Twin Slash full exhaust...Then get the intake and the fuel pack afterward.
      That scrambler is a great build and although I understand the logistics may not be financially sound to offer that as a build available to customers, I think it is great!
      I almost went with the Ducati Scrambler for the ability to take some light off-roading, and was debating for the Yamaha scrambler version of the FZ-08 that is forthcoming and I think your version would have a great market within that niche.
      Thank you again!

    What is the wet weight of this bike, please?

    • @chaparralmotorsports
      @chaparralmotorsports  Před 8 lety

      The wet weight of the stock version is 542lbs. However we took a few parts off which would make it lighter. Unfortunately we don't have a large enough scale so we don't know the exact weight of our mod version.

    • @user-sw2lv3zp6o
      @user-sw2lv3zp6o Před 8 lety

      Thanks. It could do with being a fair bit lighter than 542 lbs. I suppose the engine is heavy.

      +Greg Hageman
      Hi Greg, we saw you comment on this bike. First off let us say that you do great work and build some awesome bikes and we had no intent of ill will or malice to you or your company when we built this bike. Regarding this bike, we wanted to build a bike to celebrate Yamaha’s 60th anniversary and wanted to do so by using one Yamaha’s newest models-the Bolt. With the scrambler style being so popular and the versatility of the Bolt platform we thought it would be a good match using a mix of Yamaha/Star Motorcycles, aftermarket, and custom parts and accessories.
      While gathering ideas for the project we did come across your bikes and got some inspiration. We wanted to purchase your subframe kit but found the post on your facebook page stating that you weren’t making the kits anymore (see attached image)-even now the listing on your website for the subframe and skidplate directs to a blank eBay page.
      As you know, scramblers have a distinct style and there are certain visual cues that most builds follow (i.g. seating area, wheels/tires, high exhaust etc). And yes while there are similarities between the bike we built and your bikes, there are also many differences (bars, front fender, rear fender, intake, muffler, rear suspension).
      Again our intent wasn’t to slight you in any way, and we do apologize if you feel otherwise.
      Regards,
      --Chaparral Motorsports.

      No Worries, too bad you didn't contact me directly, I would have given you a complete free kit in order to get your input and feedback. Let me know if you're interested in any for resale

      +Greg Hageman I WOULD LOVE A FREE KIT. I also just e-mailed you. I am a poor college student so my build isn't going to be quite as extensive. But I've already done some sweet little mods. I think your sub frame and skid plate are going to be a MUST. You have my business sir!
