Spent a few years upgrading the OG T-Maxx. Bought it brand new back when they first hit the market. It was my first RC that I threw every upgrade imaginable at. It evolved over the years and with every new release or revision to the T-Maxx I upgraded to the latest model. Somewhere around the release of the Slash Ultimate is when I parked it. Hasn't run since. It's full of all the goodies. Robinson racing gears in the tranny including the spur. Sirio .18 motor with slide carb and matching pipe. Weld racing wheels and Proline Moab XL's. Aluminum diff housings, shock towers and even servo mounts. Has a steering servo armor plate. 2.5 model axles and hubs, big bore shocks that still hold oil and are butter smooth. I think the only thing still stock is the transmission case, bulkheads and electronics covers. Everything else was upgraded several times over the years. I'm going to do a full rebuild and bring her back to life. Oh and the rear diff is locked. She will lift one front wheel while literally spinning doughnuts in place like a top. Pretty wild to watch that wheel lift up and balloon while the truck just spins.

Hey Hybrid it's been a while!!!!! Keep the electrics at bay and never give up racing nitros and gassers. Btw I love my tmaxxes. Regret selling my big block dynamite conv kitted one but oh well. With the big block they are insane.

I put them shocks on my Tmaxx 3.3 with the stiffer dual rate springs and wow. What a difference. It’s like driving a whole different truck.

I just bought the revo 3.3 in December haven’t been able to break it in yet but I did also buy the O.S 11K carb for my revo I’m gonna throw that baby on and then break it in. I enjoy your videos man keep up the nitro gang videos.
It corrects the rear from swing left to right especially when the back end drops it tends to mess with the turn buckles

@@richmccoy3449 I'm trying to run my T-Max 3.3 but I'm trying to get at least to a 65 spur gear with a 24 pinion gear and hopefully that give me a little closer and then go from there and tires as well but everything takes a little time money

Hey man, how you doing to be honest with you the most important upgrades you can make are the rpm, suspension arms and rpm bulkheads otherwise a good reliable radio with built-in failsafe should be your first upgrade depending on how old of a T Max you got. There will be another updated video on this with some better top speed runs.
@@hybrid32494 I'm good thanks for asking hope you are as well bro and my tmaxx is a Frankenstein build of parts from parts lots I bought for my s-maxx 3.3. most of it is a original pro .15 narrow arm t-maxx that had been electric converted I already put rpm front bulkheads and got a dynamite .19 for it and I did get a 2.4 ghz radio setup it was the cheapest on hobbytown had thought the tactic ttx300 it seems fine couldn't find too much about it if it works good I might get another for the s-maxx it still has the tq3 original setup

Got my first Traxxas and nitro which is a T-Maxx 2.5 OG style.. I cranked it over, hit second gear, and... It immediately started to rain! 🤣🤦🏾♂️ It's been 3 days and still won't show sun 😮💨.. I think you're on to something there.

I have a big block tmaxx I can’t get to work right it seems. I got a regular tmaxx that seems to overheat a little bit. I just rebuilt my jato with a ported 3.3 and the stock carb is junk it seems for it. Their factory settings are horrible on a ported it seems. I need some help.

Hey dude, you got a good point right there. Ironically, the prior seller put on the worlds most useless upgrades and not even very well installed but the engine is at least still alive because you cannot kill and Nitro more proof.

hey buddy! The best upgrade beside an engine would be a proper tuned pipe. You could pick up the traxxas 3.3 exhaust setup unless you already have that.

Hey bro! I had ZERO trouble with this AM radio during this video. But I will tell you that when I put a camera onto the car and started recording it lowered my range drastically and the fail-safe activated. You will get to see that in a follow-up video.
