Thanks Susie!
Comprehension & situation awareness
你的報告一開頭來個 The accident happened on ....

Great video! Susie, thanks for your teaching and sharing. I will keep going!
I enjoy these information videos!! Keep these videos.
It depends of course. The amount of speaking and talking differ a lot when we compare a sales person to a lorry driver or a teacher to an electrician. But in general, more natural real-life English can definitely help to make local friends and thus very helpful to understand life in the UK. That's why I'm particularly interested in any casual chat with lots of slang words and a variety of different accents. Most of us couldn't learn these at schools.
Thank you so much for giving suggestion. Yesterday, I was still struggling in thinking of how to write the CV properly and send CV to indeed job website. Other people told me that I didn’t follow British CV standard. I think again and again. At that moment, thanks again for susie for uploading such video at a right time.
Hi, regarding CV formatting, you can actually seek advice from recruiters. They usually put up some dummy job ads on LinkedIn and you can easily get in touch by applying those posts. Take care and good luck!
This video is very helpful, especially your advice on speaking. Thanks!
No worries 😌
Love your flow when you speak~ for intermediate English as a second language speakers, can you do up a video for working English and idioms used around at the work place please! Thank you!!
Quite a spiritual lesson, especially when I am preparing for the working visa.
Super helpful! I’m going to study master degree in the UK and this video is just what I need to consider the demand in the future!

Great video. Thought your observation that most english learners have strong reading skills, particularly since it can be the opposite for learning Chinese. Learning enough characters to function in a work environment is tough!
Birds of a feather flock together,
I'm just love your channel.
Thank you Susie. After exiting from the EU, I heard there is a significant labour shortage in the UK.
You have excellent language skills both in English and Chinese, and it's your great asset. You will have great success by using your language skills and hope to see your success to encourage more people good at bilingual.
Thanks for sharing Susie!
I think our English levels have to be satisfactory to work in Great Britain, as we also need to pass the IELTS for applying to some universities.
Also, it sounds informative to know the skills in the workplace of Great Britain.
Nice, this is a good one.
right now, I usually listen to your video to improve my listening
26/11/22 I like the accent you speak, pls recommend more talk shows help us being more comfortable in the uk

Thank you Susie, i can listen your youtube completely without subtile. But still not able to see English TV show or film without subtile. It seem still have a long road to go!

Thanks, Susie.
I think the hardest thing is listening ,speaking or reading maybe with the help of some tools to solve those problems !
May Susie take us to Birmingham later in July and show us the host city of Commonwealth Games?
(The Commonwealth Games would be a great topic for English-language learning.)
Thank you for the great idea - I will look into it!
I guess it is not just applicable for works in the UK, but also US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand....all the same for your cousin English speaking countries. :)
Susie is amazing 🤩 really like u
I am dying for your sparkling and talking eyes
Thank you
There is a High Potential Individual (HPI) visa which gives you permission to stay in the UK for at least 2 years without a job offer as long as u have already been awarded a qualification by an eligible university (Top 50) in the last 5 years.
English football (soccer) commentators use "brilliant" a lot! 😀
Well.. I grew up in Canada so I'm only used to the N. American way of talking.. pretty sure I'll have trouble understanding different accents/terms in parts of UK.... but I know London wouldn't be a problem for me.
Hi Susie, as a native Chinese speaker, I found it is hard for me to pronounce words like zoo, Zeus, wool, or woods. I guess the same consonants like z/w in English and Chinese are pronounced a bit differently. Appreciated it if you could have a video talking about this. Thanks.
❤️❤️
Very relevant topic Susie. Business English sometimes doesn’t sound all that business-like. I once made a comment to a European team: “Don’t let them pull a fast one on you. Just stay in your lane and make sure you have all your ducks in a row before pulling the trigger.” Then it dawned on me they had no idea what I’d just said. But it wasn’t any different than when I met a group of guys from Newcastle another time. While I do okay with people from Southern England I am totally inept with the northern accents and I felt like a complete idiot. I would also imagine pronunciation might be high on the list if you want to work in the medical field. Words like meningopneumonitis, remimazolam, triamcinolone etc are all tongue twisters to me.
The Northern accent is hard. Where are you from Jack?
California. I live near Los Angeles. I was watching a Netflix series on Sunderland AFC and had the subs turned off. Epic fail. Understood maybe half of what was said, if that. Before my next trip to the UK I should condition myself with some BBC shows. 😀
@@californiajack4850Glad you tell me that even an American can find some British accents incredibly difficult. At first we are not really sure if they are speaking English in Liverpool. ^^
The British accent we typically hear in the States tends to be southern English which I think is elegant, soothing, and pleasant to the ear. But outside of that, even some London accents can be challenging. And it becomes a crap shoot the further north I go.

As a linguistic group, modern Germanic peoples include the Afrikaners, Austrians, Danes, Dutch, English, Flemish, Frisians, Germans, Icelanders, Lowland Scots, Norwegians, Swedes, and others。
Is there any certificate that need in order to be a secondary school mathematic and physic teacher? Thanks

I found ppl from South America learning English much quicker than the Chinese. A classmate I used to know was from Brazil, he learned English for just 2 years, and can speak fluently already, while for Chinese students, they learn English from kingdergarden, yet still won't be able to speak confidently and smoothly. What do you think the problems maybe? Is it just the similar culture background to Brazilian and English-speaking countries or our way to learn English is having efficiency issue?

Hi, I am looking for a teacher to teach me pronunciation , do you teach that online? Because i live in Reading.
P.S I like your tones and pronunciation.
Well, it depends on what topic they’re given to you.

intentionally deliberately purposefully premeditatedly。

It's NOT in my knowledge。😂🤣

Susie: Over Simplified.
