- This epic MG B battle took place during the 78th Goodwood Members' Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport's Ronnie Hoare Trophy. Fellow Goodwood regulars Josh Barnett and Ed Foster battled it out in their MG Bs for lap after lap, with Foster's red MG tripoding through corners and Barnett got a great view of the action.
This is the second half of the race and pretty much all the action from an incredible battle. Who do you think drove best?

As a lifelong owner of a '66, this is my favorite Goodwood video of all time.
Had an entirely new outlook on the driver when I saw the mustache. Really like the in car, short battle videos. These vintage and historic racers show driving at its finest 💯

Yep, not great for the synchromesh (and the original baulk rings!) but, it's a race car at the end of the day, and I'd be a bit gentler in an endurance race.

I wish i had my MGBs back.
Driven mum's MGB a few times - only a few kms at a time but the steering and gear changes were heavy and physical - many people would struggle driving an mg at this speed and circuit - amazed he keeps it from lurching across the road - heavy car for a 4 cylinder.

I miss my '62 MGA factory coupe (!) ...complete with leaky front oil filled
shock dampers and nearly gone rod bearings it still topped 100 mph

Yeah, I can confirm that I definitely wasn't thinking Ed's engine was dodgy. In fact, I know I don't have the fastest MGB engine around but, that just made the corners all the more fun.

The red car might need a bit more rear roll stiffness...
No rear anti-roll bars allowed on FIA-spec MGBs, (un)fortunately.
But it does seem faster on the straights than the blue one.

Errr... Full Harness, but no HANS device. HANS studs on Helmet. Simply no reason NOT to be wearing a HANS device.
