ATHS Sierra-Nevada Chapter Convoy to the ATHS National Show

For many shows out of our area, American Truck History Society’s Sierra-Nevada Chapter, a number of members get together and convoy to the truck shows. Six years ago, we had a bunch convoy to the American Truck History Society’s 2016 National Convention and Truck Show.
The group took 2 days to get from Reno, NV to Salem and the truck show with a lay-down at La Pine, Oregon. This is day one of the northbound journey via US 395, Lassen County A3, California 299, California 139, Oregon 39 and US 97. This is video from the first day.

Driven a few “Screaming Jimmies”, the sound of the large car with a flat bed brought back memories. The sound of the Convoy has the sound and visual queues of times at least 30 years past.
