But an alarm means there is a signal at danger and if you don't cancel the siren within a few seconds of it going off the train will automatically stop and there's nothing you can do until the train is at a stand-still. :)

Well, on the 1st of September at 5PM, DTG will be releasing a video talking about the future of train simulator. Something you could do is recreate your model layout in train simulator.

The bell ringing has to do with the AWS, which stands for Automatic warning system but this is the western region so you have something called ATC, which stands for Automatic Train Control. You press q to acknowledge it when you are coming up to a blocked track or a red signal and that blares and you cancel it, but if your too late, the emergency breaks will come on and halt you.

Good stuff Sam. I used to have Microsoft Train Simulator years ago and found it very difficult to get a good score. In the end, I just ran the trains flat out and tried to crash them...

When stopping in a yard, siding or station your meant to go in all the way or until the end of the train is inside the yellow or green strip on the hud.

There was a full on USB long base controller with levers buttons and function keys made for it. The last time I seen one was about two years ago on eBay for £130, but sorry I never bought it. It resembles the HUD on your video, hence why I brought it up in this comment as it was very functional, and giving a hands on experience of the controls.
A long railway bridge with high arches is called a viaduct. An Aquaduct is a water bridge that canal boats ride over. I'd like to see a Train Simulator with a Manor Class Engine, if that's possible.
that was great Sam, and good choice of line to run on. I know the Torbay line very well. My family lives in Torquay and in fact my sisters house over looks the line just outside Torre Station. And when I visit, a couple times a year I always try to visit the Paignton to Dartmouth steam railway. Can you drive any line in the UK or is it just set 'missions'? If you can drive any line can I request Bristol Temple Meads to Avonmouth as that goes past my flat. Other good uns would be the Cumbrian Coast line, Workington to Penrith or Exeter to Plymouth as they all have stunning scenery to drive through. Anyway this really needs to become a series. :)

Hi Sam, I very highly recommend the immersive railroading mod for minecraft. You should also get Dragon's British steam Locomotive pack. you can even get model railway too!
Sam's Trains, Did you do this on a laptop or PC? I was just wondering because I play TS 2017 on my laptop but its sorta laggy. I was wondering so maybe sometime i can play it on a computer where it's not as laggy.

Sam'sTrains Yeah. I highly recommend any of the Union Pacific engines if you do dabble in the other stuff. They were very experimental leading to some of the biggest and strongest locomotives ever built. Like that gas turbine, the Big Boys, the Challengers, etc. Do they have the LBSCR E2 by any chance?
No it's just a 980, I got it before the Ti came out, but it runs most games perfecly on max graphics on 1 monitor, or medium graphics on 3 monitors! I'll list the specs anyway I7 5820k Gtx 980 16gb DDR4 2x 120gb SSDs 2x 2tb hdds 2x 500gb hdds That's everything of note lol Cheers, Sam :)

Hi Custard! No I didn't get this on steam - but I think that's the best way to go, better than off a disk! I haven't bought any addons either - though someone kindly sent me another loco to drive! You don't have to create your own, but you can if you want to - it comes with a few as it is! Yes you can run any train you have installed! No problem - I'm always glad to try and help! Good one Sam. I have I I think TS2012 but haven't used it for a while. I ran the Glasgow Airport to Glasgow Central route using a class 380 emu. The airport link was never built but the route from Paisley to Glasgow I'm very familiar with , travelling on it most weeks. I liked the steam train though. Did you buy that as an add on? I have also ran Auran Trainz which I prefer because I think it's easier designing routes, which I personally prefer to running trains , but lost that when upgraded to Windows 10 ! You've put me in the notion again!

Hi Sam. After watching this review I decided to have a look on Amazon with a view to buying. Most of the comments gave this a bad review mainly that it wouldn't load on their PC.Is this the dovetail version and does it include the train you reviewed.
Hi Ron, yeah this is the dovetail one, and I'm not surprised to hear that - my computer is an extremely powerful one, and even that struggles to run this on high settings! It's because the game is built on an extremely old 32-bit engine, which really isn't optimised for moder graphics! If you decide against this one, I can also reccomend the 'trainz' series, which is also good! All the best mate, Sam :)

Quite why you would transport fish from Newton Abbot to Churston just shows how rubbish Dovetail can be. Churston is right next to Brixham which is a fishing port. Complete disregard for reality.

Oh right yeah - I knew that was true for diesels, but I thought you could keep driving the steamers regardless?
no, unfortunately not. Apparently my granddad knew a driver who could hack the AWS and disable it!

The ringing bell is to tell you that modern signals are coming up to warn the driver, so he knows so that he doesn’t fall asleep when signal is coming
The Ringing bell is the AWS anti warning system is for signals ahead :)
The grange i think is one of the funnest locomotives that comes with the base game

to reduce the pressure, turn on the injectors.this will help to cool the boiler down and decrease the pressure a little bit

There were 80 Granges built but sadly all of them were scrapped but there is a new one in progress and that will be 6880 Betton Grange.

I recommend the A2 Blue Peter DLC and the Settle to Carlisle line DLC. I got Blue Peter to 120mph going down a 1:100 bank on that line. :)

Quite why you would transport fish from Newton Abbot to Churston just shows how rubbish Dovetail can be. Churston is right next to Brixham which is a fishing port. Complete disregard for reality.
