The Rustbird rolled off the production line 52 years ago. . I bet at one point this car could have sold for $200 and it would have been considered a fair price. It's getting harder and harder to find American Muscle cars. It may be rusty and crusty but if I let it go to scrap it would have felt something like bringing ma or pa to the old age home. Better to be on dry concrete and have a chance at hitting the road again one day. Thanks for tuning in. Sorry about the music. Check out the newest video!

Grew up Southside Chicago, lots of hot rod Pontiacs on the streets back in the day... love the gold or desert tan w the black vinyl roof. Retro!!
It looks in extraordinary shape. No dents. No visible evidence of a disrespectful driver. Totally worth replacing whatever has rotten away underneath. With a welder and some time.

I saw a picture of a 72 gto behind someone’s house about 11 years ago that had been sitting there forever. Faded red paint, ground up to the rockers, covered in mold, and now that same car I found out is the restored GTO I bought last summer. It’s kind of a full circle story bc what are the chances Of that happening. Anyways it’s possible to make em nice but just be prepared to pretty much replace everything. Guys like you pump me up saving these cars from the grave

Ah my absolute favorite! The gold on gold 69 Firebird is what I’ve been searching for my whole life, my dads first car was a gold 69 and that’s how my how family started, always wanted to restore one and gift it to him but I haven’t been able to find one in salvageable condition around here yet

A guy I knew had a Willys and a black 69 Firebird with white interior and Crager SS mags all the way round her, L 60 tires on the rear end of this beautiful car. This cat came from Western Pennsylvania and got married to a broad from New Jersey, and now lives in New Jersey. Not sure what happened to his cars, not sure he's still married to the broad either.

What a shame that this beautiful iconic car was left out in the elements like that. Overall the body is still in pretty decent shape and the steel look good actually. Would have been pretty cool if you showed the engine and told us what was in her, I'm thinking its a 400ci 4 barrel. I have a 1968 400 myself in my trans am

I just rescued a 69 Firebird too. About same sh as pe, been in a farmers field for several decades. Antique gold with black vinyl top car. I'll redo the original Pontiac 350, it will be a complete new firewall to tail panel floor, with mini tubs. CV1 heads will go on it.
Great, however, PLEASE DON'T put those ugly wagon wheels and thin tires on it. 14 or 15 inch wheels and tires the way the car was designed to have and look like when it was bran new.
I just goes to show that there are still old muscle cars to be found.

You need to find you an old 70s or 80s tow truck so you can haul your own junk like I do. Then you can use it around your yard for moving stuff.

Probably needs a new floor pan and new frame. My Nova sat 13 years with flat tires , the frame rusted out & the floorboards. Probably sat more than 13 years.

The house seems to have been abandoned, so the owner must be long dead. The boomers are passing, and the belongings they held onto are becoming available. At least the car was not junked 40 years ago.

Cuz its not my dream car yup I want it ill trade ya my 1970 suburban 4x4 with 4 speed an stright 289 only 44 or 45000 original miles needs body work but even better shape then the firebird its born an raised an stayed all its live in woods of Florida never lifted never mudded an has skinny on it with wagon wheels man ill trade ya an I got the title pkz we me I.
