Sorry if this is an unpopular opinion, but I am still annoyed that they made Daphne’s child a boy when it is supposed to be a girl. She and Simon have three girls before having two boys. I know they change things for the show, but can we please keep something true to the books? Hmmm……..
I’m sorry but I like when there is a faithful adaptation of a book. If you think about it, the story from the book is what makes fans not the changes made just to be modern. Plus if you think about it having a girl first is more modern that the stereotypical longed for “heir”.

@@PlannedObsolescence Yeah if they were going to be historically accurate you are right, and truthfully I was a little weirded out when I watched the first episode seeing all the different people. I got used to it very quickly though and having the plotline in the Queen Charlotte miniseries made it so much more logical.
I was a little confused in the beginning, too, but I absolutely LOVE how they made it with people of colour being in high positions and having a reason for that.
It IS a work of fiction in the end after all.
I've never read the books, so I didn't know they were supposed to have a girl first, but I was also disappointed that they got one right in the beginning. Honestly I'd very much liked it they had like six children and all were girls!
Then both of them would have gotten their original wish. And while a boy would be loved, there's one situation where for once there's no pressure for an heir whatsoever. I think both of them would only find it increasingly amusing that there is no heir to the name after all with all the chances.
but in the books all the male characters sucked ass so it is a good thing they fully did not adapt the books but i do agree with the daphne's child part

I thought so too. My theory is He will continue the affair until he will witness her hurting Sophie and kicking her out. And he will help her find new employment and she will end up at the Bridgerton house or either the Featherington house being a nanny for Prudence's and Philippa's children
