Your series on the Camino Del Norte have sealed it for my wife and I. Later this year starting October 7 we will be flying from Australia to London and then over to Irun to begin an other adventure in our lives. We were thinking of the Portugues Way, but your video has us wanting more of the beauty of the northern journey. We have walked the entire Camino de Santiago back in May 2017 and have been planning our new trip for this year. Love your work and your happiness for life and adventure.

Few years back, my family and I traveled from Madrid, Pamplona, Logroño, Burgos, Valladolid, Burgos, León, A Coruña and Santiago de Compostela. We didn't have enough time to do the long walks at the time but only a little. I can't find the words to explain the spectacular views of nature and the view from Monte do Gozo... Hoping to go back one day and to do at least a half walk. Looking forward to seeing your awesome videos for useful tips.

Beautiful video! I will be walking the Camino del Norte through your postings, but never loose hope to do it myself ... my father was born in Llanes, Asturias, and I am in love with the Cantábrico ! ... try to visit Llanes for their festivities of La Magdalena - usually July 20-22- one of the best regional romerías during the summer season . They are steep in Astur-Celtic traditions, plenty of windpipes, people on their best traditional ataires and small processions like in Sevilla, but with the jaw dropping Cantábrico as a backdrop. Can't wait to follow you in the Camino del Norte !

Just watched your 7 videos of your el camino del norte... i like it a lot... i found out there are 7 routes of the el camino de santiago... can you do all the 7 routes that will be epic...

What a GREAT series of videos on the Camino!!! Thank you!!! If you had only about a week or so and wanted to do the most scenic part of the route on a bicycle. What would you advise on being the best section? We would probably by able to cover 50-70KM per day.
Thanks! I would suggest doing one of the 4 regions. Either the beginning (Basque Country) or the end (Galicia). But all 4 regions are beautiful.

We are flying into Madrid and plan to take a couple of trains to Irun to start the del Norte route. Is this what you did?
Do you have information on your non vlog gear like backpack shoes et cetera?
Cheers, I'll be hiking the northern way this Sept/Oct. A couple questions;
- hiking poles; yes or no? You did not use them. Was that purposeful or a mistake?
- rain gear; what did you use and would you recommend the use of tops/bottoms, I.e. frogg toggs or use a poncho?
- shoes; what did you use? Would you recommend shoes w aggressive lugs or is the path (fm start to finish) more a mix between rurual road, asphalt, cobblestone, dirt path, etc. I'm wondering if I needed aggressive tread (Salomon GTX / Altra Lone Peak) or a non-aggresive tread (Altra Timp or Topo)?

Hi James, I have never used hiking poles...i guess i just always feel like it is one more thing to carry or lose. If you like poles, then bring some cause i know several people love them.
Rain gear....I wore a patagonia rain jacket and loved it, but it did leak a little after days where it rained for more than 4hrs. I personally only use ponchos on occasions where I would hike for a day or two. they are bulky and catch on things, but they do go over back packs well.
shoes...i wore Salomon X Ultra 3 Low GTX Hiking Shoes and I absolutely love these shoes. they are light, durable and with the rubber toe you can kick rocks all day...goretex was great too cause it kept my feet nice and dry. You don't need a super aggressive tread...terrain is mixed.

@@TheTravelVlogger Thanks and appreciated. I went with Topo's for the time being and they are fine; like walking on pillows. I have some months to get used to them thankfully. Tried on some Salomon's but too tight for me. Needed a wider toe box. Looking forward to my Camino and expected to commence early Sept '21.
