    I turned the power off before the printer had finished shutting down which resulted in misprints the next time I used my printer. I ran this test twice and now it's back to normal. This video was very helpful. Also a timely reminder to not turn things off before they have fully shutdown.

    Thank you - I didn't realize that the nozzle check was missing the black and white part of the page. Took about 4 cleanings. I just bought the cartriges so I guess they really needed cleaning. THANKS. I was about to throw it away!!!!!

    I did the test in my Epson 7720 printer, everything is OK, only one BK field is completely empty, the first one has full black stripes, the third and fourth colors match, but the second field in your video also has black stripes, mine is completely empty

    I just purchased my Epson printer this morning and after a few attempts of doing this, the result is better but not 100% (only the black ink prints perfectly with no gaps, so it's my color cartridges that have gaps). Do you think the ink that came with the printer is just old and dried up? Thank you for this tutorial!

    • @Ldproducts
      @Ldproducts  Před rokem +1

      New printers come with ink cartridges that are known as Starter cartridges which are alternatively known as setup cartridges or initial cartridges. They are only one-quarter full, to push customers into buying extra ink when they buy the printer.

      @@Ldproducts I went ahead and returned the printer. The color wouldn’t print without gaps and I didn’t want to buy more ink to see if it’d fix itself. I had done it about 9 times before I saw your video that recommended doing it about 2-3 times only 😅

    Hi, What is it still does not clean it? Am using the Epson L3060 for sublimation printing and black still has 3 missing spots. I tried multiple times even using the cleaning solutions but without use. What do you suggest i do? btw is still is a new printer. 5 months old and i hardly use it

    • @Ldproducts
      @Ldproducts  Před 2 lety

      Hi, with an Epson EcoTank printer like the L3060 there should be a power ink flushing option that you can try for a more thorough cleaning. Epson provided instructions in the user guide on page 74, which you can find here: download.epson-europe.com/pub/download/6287/epson628736eu.pdf

    If I don’t see any color when I run the cleaning what does this mean?

    • @Ldproducts
      @Ldproducts  Před 3 lety

      If the color is still not coming through after cleaning, let the printer sit for about 10 minutes before running a second cleaning as this allows the ink to soak on the printhead. It might take a couple of cleanings to get a cartridge properly primed, especially if the printer has been sitting for a while. If you run a couple of cleanings without any success, it may be a faulty cartridge. Faulty cartridges are rare, but they do happen from time to time. Try printing with a new cartridge and compare results. If the cartridge is the culprit, look into the manufacturer’s guarantee about a replacement.

      @@Ldproducts What if changing the ink cartridge still doesn't fix the problem?

    • @Ldproducts
      @Ldproducts  Před 3 lety +1

      @@amandacantu4792 If the printer is still not working after replacing ink cartridges, first, verify the tab protecting the ink from dispersing is not still on the cartridge and has been inserted properly. Perform a head cleaning on the printer if available. You can also try resetting the ink cartridge counter (consult your device's documentation to get instructions for your specific model). Check to ensure that no software errors are occurring and print a test page. If any indication lights are flashing, refer to your printer's documentation or manufacturer's web page for additional information. If these recommendations do not resolve the issue, we suggest you contact your printer manufacturer. We hope this helps.
