The Big Agnes Rapide SL Insulated Sleeping Pad is a great 3/4 season sleeping pad. A light, well made, low noise, ridiculously comfortable sleeping pad, with a choice of sizes, what’s not to like 👍
2023/2024 UPDATE
Ive just been informed that as of 2023/2024, the Big Agnes Rapide SL Insulated Sleeping Pad, has had some new changes. Firstly the pad it self has improved insulation that boosts pad warmth and lowers weight, while packing down even smaller than the original Rapide. Secondly the R Value has been increased from 4.2 to 4.8 and thirdly, the inflation sack is lighter and coloured white. The prices and the choice of pad sizes, will remain the same however.

Regular: 20” x 72” (51 x 183cm)
Long: 20” x 78” (51 x 198cm)
Regular Wide: 25” x 72” (64 x 183cm)

Double Wide: 40” x 72” (102 x 183cm)

Seems a great pad. I ordered the regular wide yesterday. Dunno why the wide is sooo much more expensive than the regular, though!
I nearly bought the regular just because it was a lot cheaper, but then I thought, if I'm going to spend this much on a pad, I want to be sure it will be comfortable so bit the bullet and got the wide.
Thanks for your comment! Yeah I agree, the price varies a lot, however totally worth it, as this is an amazing pad and sooooo comfy!
Any advice on packaging this back into its bag? 😅 I bloody struggle. Can’t do it. It also always seems to have a pocket of air that bulges when I roll it up to pack away… even though the air is gone?! And in general it just doesn’t roll up small enough to go back in
Thanks for your comment! To be honest I don’t have any secrets to rolling this mat up, it’s just practice makes perfect! However once you’ve folded your mat, before you start rolling it, put the mat next to your storage bag, to ensure it’s not wider than the storage bag, then roll it, as tight as possible! Also ensure your valve is open and on the outside, so if any air is left in the mat, it can easily escape! I hope this helps! 👍
@@outdoorswithrichard thank you! I tried again and ended up rolling it up and then using my flex tail pump to suck out any last bits of air once rolled, and then I was able to fold it perfectly fine, woohoo! Thank you x

I looked at that but went with the thermarest topo lux not impressed for money tbh think that in wide be one for me on my list now
