Dorney Park - So Many Parks 147

In the discussion for which is the best park in the Cedar Fair chain, Dorney Park is rarely ever suggested. However, I think this is a park that has a lot more to offer than people give it credit for. Its ride lineup is often overshadowed by surrounding parks, but as a stand alone park, it has some really great coasters. The lower half of the park is well landscaped, and Dorney has lately been very diligent in celebrating their 100+ years of history. It's a very fun park, and it's only going to get better with the brand new dive coaster they're getting next year!

It's a really fun park! Probably the weakest of the "quintessential Pennsylvania parks," but still really good in its own right.

That's unfortunate, but understandable since it's such a massive park (and the ops are not always the best). Hope that you at least got to ride the heavy hitters, and that you can make it back at some point to clean up what you missed.

@@CivilianSatellite oh I am most definitely returning next year to conquer the rest of it. I got Candymonium, SkyRush, Wildcat's Revenge done so far

Awesome! That's already a great set of coasters, and luckily the rest of HP's lineup are still worthwhile. I was actually at Hershey the day before I shot this video, but of course that weekend had to be the weekend Wildcat was down for structural work. So I imagine I'll be back in the near future too.

Demon Drop was originally at Cedar Point. I miss it… CP is my home park

I remember seeing Demon Drop at Cedar Point the first time I visited the park in 2005. I was too afraid to ride it then. I'm really glad Dorney continues to run it so more people get the chance to ride this awesome clunker!
