- Even Evertale has jumped on the fake advertisement bandwagon to try and capture people's attention instead of making a new game or adding to their existing game! Here they seem to be drawing on Pokémon creepypasta. Weird! Always disappointed when a company lies to get your attention.

The only thing that's worthwhile on the screenshots is apparently some of them have dead characters on them.
Cheaper to redirect people to your existing game than to make a new one. Be better, make your own projects!

I ALMOST bought the game because of this ad. I actually wanted to play what this ad is actually for since it seems like an interesting horror game.
I got the game for free because it was on sale, played it for one day before uninstalling it and never touching it again. It's just Pokemon but with gacha elements

Because yes some parts feel like omori, but its more the glitch effects that give me ddlc vibes and I've missed that, as well as Pokemons lavender town

These ads were around 2 months ago on Manga Reader. They only recently came to CZcams.
Omori had been in development for years.

That looks so awesome! Just got the ad, so naturally I wanted to play the game. Instantly reminded me of pokémon lost silver bit like... Good... When I went to the store page I was shocked to see that it wasn't as advertised.

This game isn't a creepypasta like pokemon game lmao. The ad makes the game more interesting than it actually is. I've played the game way before these ads came out and I had to double-check if I had played it or not because of how misleading this ad was.
Why tf does this look like Pokemon Red Version but it's creepypasta because 0:13 Literally sounds like Lavender Town's theme.

Yeah. I bought that game before the fake ad comes out in a gap of 5 or 6 months. I saw that and I rolled up my eyes.
But one question, did they take those scenes from a real game?

It's not a real game. Eve if it was there's just too man elements they're ripping off. Go play omori, that's one game they're ripping off that has suspense horror elements in this. Or find some pokemon creepypasta mod.
The backgrounds were taken from several games. As other people already said, they stole from omori, but I also spotted Pokemon red/blue and chrono trigger. Another one they did stole right from stardew valley. So ridiculous.
@@reni.3819 Yeah, I already played Omori and some creepypasta Pokémon mod aren't really that good and with too much of a short story without anything interesting except one.
There are a lot of mod I know, but most of them don't have a specific plot and are a lot short.
I only have one really good Pokémon horror mod.
However I'm searching new games to play that's why I asked if maybe it existed for real because despite various different things that didn't made sense or were drawn bad some of the ads were really good and it's sad that they use fake ads when they could just do a original game for this plot.
They would have more success for sure.

Jesus Christ! I was just watching CZcams on my phone and it was about 3:30 in the morning(20 ish minutes from when I posted this) and this ad came on and after it played the electricity in my house went out. I'm currently just huddled on my phone cause it's the only light source in my house right now.

Don't know why everyone is saying it's ripping off Omori. The white room is more similar to the lack of color on a gameboy than it is to White Space. This is a ripoff instead of every Pokemon creepypasta

I saw another ad where they tied up a yellow animal next to a cabin and they said that the monster inside will eat animals and lanky black arms came out from the doorway and grabbed it. I searched it up to see what it was and I found out it was just some normal rpg.
The AD is 100% better than the actual app. It reminds me of Yume Nikki and Omori. The actual app is just so... basic.

I love playing horror rpg games so seeing the ads for evertale got me very interested til I saw the actual game. I was disappointed beyond measure.

I am glad I am one of those people who ALWAYS looks up games, looks at screenshots and reads reviews before buying and or installing a game. I saw two different evertale ads, both completely different. This one and another one where it looked like a guy standing in a convenient store talking to what I assume was a ghost??? I thought "maybe its one of those games that have different stories to them. Like different game stories with different artwork. Maybe its one of those cases where each member of the team had a twisted horror story to share with the players so they took each horror game and made it into one and you have the option to play them all" i went to the app store and looked at the screenshots. Disappointed. But give the game them benefit of the doubt. I checked the reviews, yeah I am not sold anymore.
I was going to get the game mainly for this pokemon looking one for my husband because he is a huge pokemon nerd and he LOVES the weird bootleg pokemon games people come up with. If someone could make this an actual game, I would buy it in a heartbest for my husby.

Allright, i actually saw some ads before this one and were okay, then they made this kind of ads and they changed the age rating of the game from PEGI 7 to PEGI 12. I don't know WHY they have done this.

So the ads make it look like it's Pokémon, but edgy, when really it's a generic anime gacha RPG. Funny thing is I tried this game out when it was free a while back and got bored of it, and I'm only recently seeing these ads for it.
Idk what is going on with that game, saw the ad and went to check it out but looks nothing like this. Suspiciously, as of 5/7/2021 the background border of the screenshots on the Googleplay store have been switched from a plain blue color to what looks like screenshots of whatever this horror game is and some deranged-looking notebook scribbles? like you can see the blood pixels from this ad in some corners of the screenshots, some Japanese writing, drawings of knives, spiders,eyes, other weird things etc. so the Devs have to be deliberately doing this or at least aware. Maybe its shitty ARG marketing for a new horror pokemon-like game?
They are riding off the "popularity" (if you can call it that, it's pretty obscure) of the game OMORI, which has a notebook in the very beginning of the game that has drawings in the exact same artstyle as the borders of the screenshots. They also use a lot of elements from the game's trailer in this ad. It's just a scam.

If it was really like the ads showed, trust me, they would have made more money than the actual game
The effort could been making the place more creepy etc, the fact they put more effort into the music, they really could've made sth out of it
