Spot on. You have to wonder what the director was thinking. Did they try to get the players to memorize their lines and then work with them to get them to put some emotion into it? You can deliver a memorized line far better than one you are reading off a page. Either the director was cutting corners to save time or they legit tried to get these players to memorize the lines and eventually gave up, lol.
@Boco Corwin Other acting you definitely memorize your lines. They just opt not to for voice acting? It's not like these guys would have had hundreds of lines to memorize like in a movie or play. Couldn't take that long.
