I think it's cute...it doesn't put off the "frizz" vibe on camera but, I know real life vs. camera are TOTALLY different.

Idk about this mousse, but I love the Design Essentials Natural Almond and Avocado Curl Enhancing Mousse. Try it. It cuts down drying time for me and smells really great. I've never noticed any frizz.

Came back to add my two cents on the mousse/gel combo. It's a keeper for me, my 2 yr old daughter and my 7 yr old son. I know you don't like custards but I do lol I used the mousse and kinky cutly curling custard for me and the mousse and camille rose naturals curl maker for the kids and let me tell you...the shine, the moisture, the bounce & no crunch but hold. It's a keeper combo for us!

Hey boo! I was a hair model for The Doux at the WNHS in Atlanta and they did a wash and go with only the mousse. I did sit under the dryer for almost 45 mins until my hair was completely dry and I got good definition. I have a video on it.
This specific mousse is supposed to be used on soaking wet hair. And since you do wash and go’s on damp hair, I’m not surprised by the results. I think your hair always looks gorgeous regardless doll.
It works great with a twisting cream (CMR Almond Jai) for twist out and for wash & go I put it on top of gel (UFD Curly Magic)

I used melanin hair care underneath this mousse and my curls was poppin and barely any frizz. This was a good combo for me.
I ❤️ the doux mousse for my wash n gos. They come out so soft,voluminous and defined. It doesn’t last as long as a gel would but I don’t mind.

I’m a gel girl too, but I have been trying out the eden bodyworks papaya and castor foam leave in conditioner and topping it off with their curl jam. The results are amazing! Look into it.
The Doux has a great video on their channel for using mousse def. once I followed their instructions, I liked the product a lot more. I did add my own oil to my hair
I followed the creators instructions and used the other Doux products and my hair came out just fine. I love it!!!
I think that’s the problem with a lot of CZcamsrs in general who used it and don’t like the results. They’re not using enough product and they’re not setting it with heat. Stylists put you under a dryer for a reason. Heat isn’t the enemy. And they use a lot of product. The gobs of deep conditioner I see CZcamsrs use is how they should be using by this mousse. It’s should look soapy when applied.
I love The Doux mousse. My style last about 3 or 4 days But I have to refresh. I use a leave-in conditioner under it so my hair doesn’t feel dry.

I’ve used this for a low sleek bun and it does wonders . I’ve tried it with a wash n go but I used African pride curling cream . The curl popage was real . I love your edges !!!

YYEESSS I felt the same way about the mousse. Looked very dry, no hold and low on definition. But I would like you to use that mousse under wetline😁 My hair reacts the same as yours with products. I am glad you decided to style your hair because it needed that oomph! I just like your versatility! You just know how to to make a hairstyle work no matter the product you use! I am learning from you! Yes, l do prefer you try this Mousse with a Gel than a cream because l am so sure you will get much better results! Cream doesn't really work on your hair unless it's with a Gel!
Definitely a gel over the mousse. I been doing this for about a year now and my wash and goes last forever.
I’ve tried it and I liked it but would love to see you use it with a gel like The Mane Choice. The owner of The Doux actually has several tutorials on How to use her products that are really helpful. Your hair always comes out cute btw

Thank you for this! Now I don’t feel alone in the un-love that I have for this product. I felt like me and my strands were outcast because this product really didn’t work for us. Because I enjoy the creator of this line and want to support her, I do want to try it again with a leave in even though it says you don’t need to
I am so glad you reviewed this product because I was considering purchasing it at one time. I thought it would be a decent one product to use for getting out of the pool when you need something quick and less time consuming. After watching some of their videos, I noticed that most of the women in the video’s on CZcams had normal porosity and low to mid density hair. I left a comment stating my concerns because I have low porosity hair and the response I received stated that, there was no such thing as low porosity hair, and that Lopo hair was hair with a lot of product build up. I have had low porosity hair all of my life. I was pretty much through after reading that comment.
I’ve been wanting to try that product line but I’m afraid it won’t hold up to this disrespectful Alabama humidity. Please try it under a gel to see how it holds up! Love your videos!!

I actually tried this under a gel this week (after I realized a wash & go was not happening) and I really liked it!
Using a thick oil or olive oil will give you a better hold and curl clumpage, I use it with an oil and it can last 6 days, unstretched. Another plus is that, it dries quickly.
The hairstylist that created the brand has videos on how to use her products. Check out her videos and that may help you get the best results.

Definitely try mousse and gel! I used Wetline and Lotta Body foaming wrap mousse on top and it gave me a really defined wash n go.

I tried this line all except for the edge control and shampoo. I used the moose and leave-in together. It did good for definition and shine....no frizz
I just tried this last week and my wash and go was so bomb! I stopped doing wash and go’s for a while but this brought me back!
I have used a few times and find that it does better with heat than allowing it to air dry. The 2nd time I also used a leave in and had better results.
But tbh your hair also looked good in the beginning lol. FAB AT THE END. I am so confused as to how you don’t love the result!

I think your hair turned out really pretty and closest to its natural state (like, when you first come on after a wash/condish which i think your hair is beautiful that way), and the fact that it is soft .... it's a win in my book. I'm glad you didn't stretch w/blow drier, imo, that's when the "extra" frizz happens. I vote try w/a cream .... okay, a gel //// LOL ..... oh, so much to say, sorry!!!

I think you should try it with a gel. I forgot who did it on here but they used a mousse and it made her hair way less frizzy than it normally is. Even in her frizz prone areas.
