what i do is i first and this is probably like the most important part, i do my ponytail, edges in the ponytail and i pull out the desired amount of baby hairs, then i put hot water on that amount of hair, i then go in with a water based gel (x-trend gel and eco style work best for this) i then go over that with an edge control (aroma pomade, edge booster, and, she is boss work SOOOO GOOD!) then i style, if you don’t like adding heat to your hair you can stop here but i then wrap my edges with a lace bonding headband and blow dry the location of the edges for about 2-3 minutes, doing it without the scarf will make them pop up so that’s very important that you have one, and boom, no white edges, they look clean. Another tip is after doing all of this if your edges turn white is either mousse, OR using a light oil that is safe for hair! (oil sheen is best recommended for this) Good luck! I have the same hair texture- a little thicker than yours, and this custard tames my curls wonderfully. I don’t diffuse though- simply allow my hair to air dry. However, we have to use what we prefer for our hair. For example, I don’t like gels, but love custards; some prefer gels over custards. Loved the video. Thanks for sharing.

This was helpful. I’m in FL where hardly any products really help with frizz. I used just the curl perfector but then seen this video and added the xtreme gel over it. So far my 3c/4a curls are looking defined and feel hydrated. I’ll be back later when it’s fully dry. Let’s see how this holds up with the FL humidity 🤞🏽

I’m so sick of these companies adding glycerin to their products. Glycerin is the opposite an ingredient that you’d want in a gel. Day 3, my hair is a frizzy mess from humidity anytime I use a product that contains glycerin. Kinky-curly custard and Curls blueberry bliss curling jelly are the most natural ones I’ve been able to find that don’t contain glycerin. With Kinky curly it’s either some frizz (used too little) or some flakes (used too much). There is no in between, and often those two things will co-occur throughout different sections of your hair. I’m trying out the curls blueberry bliss jelly next week when I wash my hair, I hope it’s good.

I just remember it being so expensive and you couldn’t really combine it with anything bc it would white clump. That was then … so I’ll try it again bc used by it self it was great.

I haven't tried Rhinna's Fenty products as of yet, but will buy before my next wash. I hear her products is better than Cecred Beyonce's products. I will try it and post an update. Thanks for the review.
