I’m very glad because I tried to use it how I use gel and cream products and it was a no. But this manner worked well- the hair has to be properly saturated for it to work 😊
I love this because I’ve always been heavy handed with my products with this is a dream come true LOL. When they say saturate each section with the mousse they really mean it so that each section is soapy. It didn’t turn out right at first. And if you have low porosity hair like me you need like five pumps and work it in your hair.
Update: OMG The curl memory is not fake! When I did it an additional time it’s like your hair remembers the mousse and you don’t even use as much mousse to get it that saturated it turned out even better.

Ok, as I am watching this video/tutorial I think I have watched a TIK TOK of some sort of video explaining the correct way to do a wash and go with your products. I paused this video right at the time of 1:57 in the middle of the video. Again I was thinking of what you were saying about how to do a wash and go. Just apply the product, spray with water as much as you would like, smooth it and all of the shingling and pulling apart isn't necessary. Just putting the mousse on and spreading with hands and letting the curls clump on. Air dry or sit up under a hooded dryer or blow dry with a diffuser to get the scalp. A MUST TRY I LOVE YOU and I don't even know you. I'm GENX and I just really love the names of each of your products. I am a HIP HOP fan and I know what song that each products come from ♥I LOVE NEW YORK HIP HOP♥
Great video. Loved that this product was used on different types of hair, however; I really wish one was for type 4 with high density and low porosity. I’ll keep looking for more videos on that type of hair. Thank you.
Girl I am loving this product! My rod set lasted 3 days in Houston humidity before I felt the need to refresh. I just reset it dry using larger sections excited to see how it turns out. After watching this I am ready to wash and go! ❤️

My curly stylist turned me onto this product recently for my looser curls and WOW! I love the soft-to-the-touch curls and haven't found another product that works this well to contain my frizzy curls, not even gels! Thank you x 1000!
I have had this Mousse Def for a year. I used it for the first time today on my 4B TWA. Low porosity hair. I don't think I will ever purchase another product again. This is the business ;and it smells delightful.

I tried this product for the first time and I really like it , I wanted to stop using curly perms and do the natural but I still wanted some curls and without the perm its hard to get the curls, but when I used this product its the best and so easy to use.

I definitely thank you for sharing this tutorial. I used this product on my daughter's hair mixed in with some gel, as I have seen in other videos, but I wish I had saw this first. It didn't turn out like this at all! I will try it again!

I just did a wash and go with this mouse and did it exactly as shown in the tutorial. This is what I noticed:
- it was a little time consuming to go piece by piece without mixing up sections. With my usual wash n gos, I divide my hair in four sections and style each section as a whole
- the front and back of my hair are curled and crunched to the gods- in other words, I know they will have hold for days without frizz! These sections are 3b-3c.
- the other sections, for example around the crown, did not have that same crunch and hold. If you like perfectly defined curls and have type 4 hair, this might not do it for you. HOWEVER, if you like volume over definition, this could be perfect!
Overall, for how much I have to use to style my hair, the product is a little pricy. Nonetheless, I do appreciate a lightweight, fast drying, BLACKOWNED, black-woman-owned ONE PRODUCT styler for healthy hair ❤️👸🏾✨
Edit: my hair is VERY high density, thick, low porosity (never dyed), and ranges from about 3b/3c in the front and back to 4a at the crown/middle. My hair is bra strap length when completely stretched out.

I BC for the first time after growing out a perm 7 years ago, but I tried the foam on my waves with excellent results. Way more defined then just brushing alone. Great product, lady!
The product is definitely the best I have used on my hair. I have tried repeatedly to get a mousse for something even close this and it has not happened until now and the results are awesome! No frizz and usually my hair is somewhat frizzy once product is applied and once completely dry it is horrible. Thank you for answering my prayers. I wish I new about this before now. I am definitely looking forward to purchasing the rest of the product line!

First I bought the Mousse Def. I was real tempted to use a moisturizer under it cause my soul was like "this don't seem moisturizing". I applied the mousse, knew in my gut I was going to wake up with dry hair. I was right. Then I bought the gel, looked at it sideways cause I was still hurt over my dry wash and go. Sis.... the gel is extremely moisturizing. I slabbed on so much my hair is weight down to the floor chile! Now I'm like Maya why you playing with my heart lol! I haven't given up hope yet, I'm going to use then together for my next wash and go. I just won't use so much.

I just purchased the mousse from Target yesterday 2/16 I was excited to try the product but the pump was broken on the bottle and wasn’t coming out as foam just liquid, so I’m have to exchange for another today! But I liked seeing all the products in action!

The reality show MTV THE REAL WORLD NEW YORK and just by being a big fan of hip hop. LORD my country ass wanna come see you. On my 50th birthday my sister asked me where in the US where would I want to visit and I told her NYC. She said you got it. Just bring spending money. This was September 2021.

I frickin LOVE this product! I have type 3 stupid dense stupid coarse high porosity hair. One day when I have enough money I’d love to get my hair seen by a natural specialized stylist because I’ve never seen anyone with hair like mine. I’ve been so far just putting a ton of pumps in brushing with denman and either air drying or diffusing. Today I’m gonna try going section by section like the second girl

Was hoping to find at least one video on a pixie mold 😩 I just bought today at target and was nervous bc I have YET to find a foam that will hold my hair down straight so I can mold it. I had low hopes but soon as I put some in my hair it laid DOWN! Better than Nairobi. I can’t wait until it dries so I can see what my hair feels like but I might have finally found a winner. I’ve tried some of every foam since cutting my hair off lmao.

Danita Hayes it can be applied wet or dry. Sometimes we apply it to dry hair for less shrinkage
