- We had our Mexican Dads try Military MRE meals made by the United States Department of Defense. These meals are not only used by the military when they are out in the field but are also used by civilians during emergencies.

Are you stocking up on MRE’s? 😋
*Staking* And Yep! They can be pretty tasty🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
I don't have any MREs but I have a stockpile of emergency shelf stable food. I had several of these MREs that were 10 years old, and tried them. They are supposed to last for many years but not so much 10 years and they were gross overall. Prisoners eat better. But back in 2005 mostly all the survivors and police officers working hurricane katrina were provided MREs until other food was provided by FEMA.
Where can you buy authentic MREs? I’ve always wondered
I thought it was illegal for civilians to have these
army surplus stores, etc@@michaelboyle-ms2id
All dads agree on 1 thing. They deserve better meals and I swear I think one of them wanted to tear up.😢 I miss my dad he passed away 3 years ago and this reminds me of him.
MREs are for when you are in combat or training in the field, they are high in calories so you have energy all day. When I was in the army they use to have little bottles of Tabasco. The best by far was chilli mac and the worst was the veggie omelet
I remember my son telling me about how bad the veggie omelet. Thank you for your service.
Chili mac sucked as did the tuna one.
The joke/alternative name for the worst one was called Vomelet as you can probably guess why and yes it is as bad as they say. Tried it myself during service.
Chicken and Rice was the best one. The lemon pound cake was good too.
LGBT soldier boys 😂
The food is for military troops on the go, they have great food on the base...should have had the dads prepare it from the package and had a soldier help out or give tips on how they eat it. Much love to our troops and veterans, Thank you for that you do for this country!
My dad had many of the same reactions when I brought him an MRE my first time visiting them since boot camp, thank you guys for sharing.
That’s not Military food, that’s combat food. That’s what you eat in the field, you can prepare it anywhere, and it’s meant to give you a lightweight high calorie meal instead of starving.
Be quiet
@@TrueSkillzLOOLLL
It’s not that serious 😂😂
thank you this explains the answer to my other comment i said why cant we give them fresh fruits vegetables and meat unless they are behind enemy lines. This is food you travel with in combat when you dont have access to the mess hall
And are those combat ppl part of the military? Case closed compa
Please do Mexican dad try soul food that would be so fun to watch 🎉❤
Nobody cares about soul food
@@creepnasty5370 nobody asked for your opinion thank you tho
@@creepnasty5370good thing ur the only nobody here
I miss mres! Some of them came with a small bottle of tobasco. Arturo how can you forget the Marine Corps? We are the best!
they put it on a fancy plate lol. shouldve thrown the bag at them and give them 5 mins to eat...for that authentic experience
They are just tasting tho not living the experience
I'd love for them to try west African food like fufu or Ethiopian food! :)
...and middle-eastern food😋
I absolutely love this series! Keep it coming!
This is all I ate for pretty much one year after Hurricane María hit us in Puerto Rico. Some of these were actually not that bad.
Loved the lack of intro... I feel like most people would like at least a 10 sec, but I loved this right in to it
ppl need to stop being so dramatic. they have personal chefs at work, BUT this is the food they would eat if they had to go to war or boot camp. they usually eat really good food
Binge watching these guys! Aloha and mahalo for having this channel, I enjoy it a lot
These dads are awesome! Great job. Awwwwww, now I miss my dad...UGH!
The triple Og's! Mr. Vicente reminds me of Ernie from George Lopez lol.
Omg yes 😂
I always brought a bottle of hot sauce before going out to the field. Chicken chunks probably had to be one of my favorite ones
My parents and I watched this together both serve in the US Army, and this brought back memories.
Mad respect for the OG Papahs for showing love for our country and our troops. ❤️
American troops killing innocents overseas
Glad to see that other dad is back
I love your guys' videos. I'd love to see them try cuban food!
What a beautiful shirt Tiberio is wearing on today's video.
Don't forget our Marines.
MRE can be surprisingly good! Lets go🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
I ate one for the first time back in 2013 when I took a trip to the National Guard base to play paintball and do some of their exercises. The one I had was Spaghetti with meat sauce and it wasn't bad. Mine had the cracker brick and skittles...I loved it.
Everyone in the military whos had an MRE has their favorite or least favorite but i think mostly everyone can agree that the Cornbread is really good
That bead work, fire 😮
Oh it’s stitch
Anything with Marinara is the one you want, like Clili mac, Spagetthi with meatballs, etc beef strugnoff was an exception
Papahs! Try colombian food next! 🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴
They should try the MRE's from Croatia, France, Italy...and be amazed. ^^
I agree they should add some flavor maybe like powdered hot sauce or something so it could stay longer or maybe throw some spice powder in their
Oh! First Strike bars are great. I do buy those.
I would love to see what the mamahs would have to say about these!
They used to include a little bottle of Tabasco sauce in MRE's I forget when that ended though.
wtf they don't anymore??
@@fmfdocbotl4358 The last MRE's I had (Around 2015 IIRC) came with chili flakes I think. Looking into it, they added the bottle of Tabasco back to MRE's in 2019. So, that's good news.
I’m at fort Bragg, and we still have the little tobaccos in our MRE’s :)
Tabasco*
@@SimplyLilith I’m glad they came to their senses and brought it back. Thanks for confirming it!
Shout out too all the Hispanic's in all service Branches 🫡 🇺🇲 🪖 especially the U.S. Army & U.S. Marines Corps. 🙏
Nice!!
I do not miss them days, I still have a box in my basement and I retired back in '17 and it is still sealed.
Vicinte is the sweetest man alive
The MRE’s my brother ate in the army, came with a little bottle of Tobasco
those are meant to last you all day lol. otherwise you'll the wrath of the mre sh*ts lol imy favorites are the beef stew, chicken in pesto sauce, southwest asian beef strips, and the bbq pork patty. did you guys even use the green heating packets to warm them up?
i feel like it would have been a good experience if you had them actually open the mre pack and make them food with the heating device aswell and most if not all also come with condaments like salt pepper some even come with hotsauce packets
I just adore that big bottle of Tapatío. I guess they would eat even a napkin if they get some of their beloved hot sauce to go with it. I only guess it because in my opinion hot sauce makes everything better and I'd eat that napkin if I had hot sauce with it.😆God bless these man I love them all ❤🌶🌶❤
Yeah you all forgot about the marine corps🔥🔥
also you are supposed to heat up the tortilla in the frh. wrap it in the napkin that comes with it with a lil water
This is the advanced menu...it's a lot better than it was 10-20 years ago.
Army Veteran here, they came with little Tabasco bottles salt pepper sugar and wet napkins… it would have been a better experience if they had you open the mre’s yourselves and use the heating bag!
Hello papas 🇲🇽 ❤ 🇺🇸
I swear some of the packs include a packet of hot sauce
Most MREs nowadays are pretty good. I eat most without heating because I don’t usually have 10-15 to wait 😂 ones now are better than what we had 10 years ago. Just passed 13 yrs in the Army a few months ago. I usually take 1 or 2 home after the field for “just in case” emergency
Pretty sure the salt is kept low for those who require less. Easier to add salt than to remove it! 😉
Get em some chili Mac with the Skittles trade....... We boomin
Also a mini tapitio instead of Tabasco would slappp
They got 'm out on a tray, nice.
They use to put at least some Tobasco sauce in. Not knowing how much boys and especially Southern boys appreciated it. There's countries, third world almost compared to us who make far better MREs than We do.
What happened to the little Tabasco bottles?
looks like better MRE's than i had.
Hola!
Let's get this out onto a tray. Nice, okay! Where's my Steve1989MREInfo bros at?
Dang they haven’t had the expired candy that every MRE has
ive lived on these things before. should of got them a menu with the jalapeno cheese spread. that was the bomb. overall these meals arent bad. pretty much hormel and canned meals packed full of preservatives
Those cups are no where near large enough for the drink mixes. 8-12 oz. I want to say is the regular drink size.
These have to be portable, minimum weight, and eaten on the fly and emergencies. These aren't being served in base cafeterias. I think the dads know, but yeah.
Some of the MRE's should still come with a mini bottle of Tabasco. I think some of the Cajun meals came with it?
Funny how on the Lemon tuna they all had different beverages
In military MRE mean Meal ready to eat
You guys should try Haitian food 🇭🇹🥰
Do Pizza Hut ,dominoes,poppa John’s,little Cesar,pizza loca
No tapatios on those packs, just tabasco and there is usually a salt and pepper packet.
They give them Tabasco
I mean he’s not wrong about not being able to heat the tortillas. One day we had. A large tent with a gas fed heater and being the mexican that I am I walk over to the heater and slap the tortilla on top in front of my Platoon Sergeant. That man and everyone in that tent went silent and bursted out laughing. I got to watch them all burn themselves when they tried flipping the tortilla and as a bonus the tent smelled like tortillas instead of sweat
C ration, LRP, MRE no matter what you call them they are the reason every military person asks for tabasco in any care package that is sent to them, or they buy them and tuck them in their ruck sack. Have had C's and LRP's, MRE's are after my time in service.
You should have had them cook at least one of the MREs to see how it's done.
We eat those in the field not in our barracks 😂😂
Next video make the Mexican dads try Mr beast chocolate
They didn’t give them the whole bag tho most of the food taste better warmed up
Those are not for us. Those are for y'all. We eat real meals.😂
Thing about MRE’s, you will fart for DAYS after eating these.
The lemon pepper tuna was the worst in basic I mean don’t get me wrong it was still food but gawd damn
lol, Arturo forgot the Coast Guard... To be fair though, EVERYONE forgets the Coast Guard. What's more bothersome, is that he forgot the Marine Corps. There's a joke to be made about Marines and crayons, but i'm just too tired to do it witty, so i'll pass this time..
The thing about MREs though, is that they're kinda bland on purpose, to make them palatable to as many people as possible. S'why nothing's properly spiced or seasoned. Guys who have been in long enough know to have some spices and stuff on hand to make the things taste better.
We CAN warm up the rations in the field.. it's just that sometimes the ration heaters don't work right.....but you CAN leave the entree in a safe place in the engine bay of a vehicle, if you've got time.. Also, yeah, that mayo is runny because it's fake "Light" mayo.. basically miracle whip (which is disgusting).
Let papah try indonesian food 😊
Only got to heat my mre once. Otherwise, we always eat them cold
🤙🤙🤙💯
Bruh ain't no way an MRE is missing salt
...and they didn't shit for 3 weeks after this.
First comment, like, and view
Seen no mexican dad but just one.
They were all born and raised in Mexico…
Right that's why they keep referring to the US army as our troops except one
@@saultonche1026 maybe because he's a citizen, thus that'd be a correct statement to refer to them as "our troops". Either that, or he may have served in the US military after having become a citizen. Depends on how young he was when he came to America.
not gonna lie, im not a fan of any of the MRE's. I legit just eat the snacks in them lmao. My fav drinks are the cappuccino-like ones, all those Gatorade-like drink sucks.
Mres are good till you eat them every day and you cant poop…. Chili mac is the bomb
Try Korean mres with the heating element. My exes dad had a bunch stored up and I was shocked in the difference in quality and the easy heating tech
Now they understand my pain. I fucking got sick of eating these during the crucible lol but in all honesty, they weren't that bad! Except the pesto one. That one was fucking GROSS!!!
Turkish food🇹🇷
MREs - Meals Rejected by Ethiopians.
Yeah so MRE,s really aren't that bad. Some are definitely worse than others. And when you can't warm up your mre then yeah it's not good.
is there any reason our soldiers really need to eat this unless they are behind enemy lines? we should be supplying them with fresh fruit vegetables and meat
they'll eat in a mess hall on bases.
Aren't ya'll supposed to fast or something? It's Lent. I'm just curious 🤷
No meat on Fridays. Also if you decide to give up something else (chocolate, for example).
Also, one regular meal and 2 smaller meals.
That's the Lent fast.
Why not try some Turkish food. Do research beyond clichés. No Döner and Kebab.
When you're out in the field during training or combat for days, weeks or even months, MREs are great even when they aren't! Some how, the dads didn't get the message that what were eating is not what troops usually eat. This key omission led some of them to make incredibly ignorant remarks. Don't set them up to fail!
Care to enlighten us?
Simmer down. This is some light hearted entertainment. Not everything has to be serious.
I have some military food ration in my car. So I can somewhat relate to this. As a College Graduate, my formal respect to all who served in the military.
If a girl is fit, has a nice bod,
a cute face, and also served, I actually somehow find it kinda hot 😅.
She must be lightly toned, slender, and fit then.
goddamn, stop talking with food in your mouth. And don't chew with your mouth open.
