Metal detecting at its very best, here in the uk we sometimes have days when amazing discoveries are unearthed and this was one of them, not treasure hunting, just pure detecting at its very best, the sun and weather were kind to us and the team unearthed crew certainly did their very best to show what metal detecting is really all about,

George IV gold high up on my bucketlist to go with my George II and George III gold coin finds. It is no coincidence that both were found on pasture, in my opinion and experience, that is the best place to find gold coins. There's no feeling like it, greatest moments of ones life finding a gold coin with a metal detector. Congratulations to the finders

Just a question, would it be possible to detect such coins artifacts, with a Minelab X Terra Pro?

@@unearthed-detecting-tv Damn Sweet, cause I’ve been reading a lot of reviews on detectors after watching a lot of these videos and got so hooked so I’ve have just ordered the Terra Pro. I’m gonna try it out in locations in Sweden, where I know there have been a lot of old Viking settlements. Who knows what will be in the ground 😀

Hi and thanks for watching, no, I'm too busy making sure bounderies are kept in place and people are doing what they should be doing, i get great joy in seeing people unearth these items however, ive had 40 odd years of experiencing what they are now doing.

Could it be the case that the gold coins were lost during a fox hunt? I imagine that participants had good money on them in case they had to give a round of drinks etc.

i bought a metal detector for my sons xmas, just a cheap one but it works fine afaik. Not been out with it yet as we're just not sure where to go. We live in scotland and are lucky enough that the Romans did actually make it this far, to our village. Been thinking i should try the woods or oldest paths around our village, but any tips on areas to try would be very much appreciated. Love your channel!
