haha sorry for the big gap in posting, but decided I wanted to try something new. I hope you all like the new style because I have created enough content for one month. After that I will see what y'alls response is and then i will go from there!
Much love as always.
Be sure to join the livestream on @simplymax 9am the 12th (Vietnamese time).
EDIT: Locations are in the description box
Thank you so much for announcing the live stream schedule... It's been 4 months since last streaming.. can't wait to join you
I love your enthusiam and passion for food! You're amazing!
I don't mind the editing cuts, but I do prefer there to be no music. I like the more "on the ground" feel you get when there's no background music.
could you please post the Google map links in the desc?
What was the address for the Banh Canh Cua place?
I'm Vietnamese and this guy is not foreigner, he is a legit Vietnamese !!! Thoses are all of my favorite place to eat
idol rmit ✌️
The first restaurant combines bun and spring rolls. It’s so convenient to eat two kinds of food at one time!
At the second restaurant, you discovered that the biggest danger of eating on the street is getting splashed with sewage. Your expression was so cute, haha!
The third restaurant is very similar to a Stir-fries (Stir-fried Food) Restaurant/Shop in Taiwan. I wonder if you have tried it before, I believe you will like it!
That bowl of noodle soup at the fourth restaurant is so rich in ingredients and looks so appealing!
The fifth restaurant sells not only noodles, but also human touch. Everyone sits on the chair and eats noodles together. It feels very warm!
The way you hold chopsticks is very standard and deserves praise! Thanks a lot for sharing, really great job! 👍🥰👏
The first place is actually using bún noodle not phở noodle
I like your comments for being specific about each stage.
We so sure that the 1st combination is not only convenient, it's also real tasty (much depends on the good sauce, in fact).
To be honest, I have never considered Bún chả giò to be a combination of two kind of food. Like... who eats only noodles, right? it would be tastless. they must have something to go with the noodles. But maybe it's because of the food culture that I grew up with is different to the others.
They didn't invent that. That is a normal Viet food dish. Bun and spring rolls and pork.
Dude, I'm Vietnamese born in America and your pronunciation is better than mine! Thank you for not butchering the names of the food. Very impressive!
Look at how he crossed the street, bro is more vietnamese than American at this point lol
Blame who’s
Woo pig sooie!!!
Mời Max ăn một bữa sáng nhé! 😊
Bạn có thể giúp tôi 100 usd không 😮😂
I love love Vietnamese foods soo healthy and fresh
There are many Vietnamese restaurants in the US and even on Facebook, they ship Vietnamese foods from fruits to snacks to your house. Just look around where you live if you live nearby Vietnamese community. Foods in the US is much safer than in Vietnam. There was just a case of food poisoning in Vietnam involved more than 300 victims. Food poisoning in Vietnam happens like on a daily basis from children in schools to outside foods.
@@lazyjaney28👍 thanks..
@@lazyjaney28Zậy mà ung thư ở Mĩ nhiều hơn VN đấy !

Just love you to see in vietnam.
Yo man, you stepped up your game. This new style is great! Keep it up man. But I also don't wanna completely lose the old simple driving/walking around content.
Great episode Max! I like your vlogs, but the production value on this one is fantastic! Glad you have a camera operator, b-roll shots are really good, and great edit. Love this format! You need to be on Travel Channel with this format!
When you drop the video my day stops and I watch it immediately. Hog out.
I am so happy to see you on my home page with a new video. I love how authentic and relaxed your other videos are, but this style is next level!
For those that haven't experienced broken rice, the fine texture completely changes the mouth feel compared to a whole grain rice. To me it's almost like couscous. Thanks again for another great video Max!!
It's so fun to eat
Mới đổi máy quay hả Max, video chất lượng quá
I'm so impressed, not only with his knowledge of the local food, but his pronunciation.... I don't know how he remembers everything....thanks for the video
Hi Max, from Australia. 🇦🇺 Loooong time follower, first-time commenter. I have always loved your style of holding the camera and filming yourself - it's one of the reasons I've continued to follow you on CZcams...but THIS new format is awesome!! Love that we can see you 'in front' of the camera (not joined to it), and the editing and general vibe of the video is fantastic! Very professional, and can't fault it. Massive thumbs up from me! Moving forward, a mix of old and new would be great. Thanks for the content.
Looks so delicious
The food in Viet nam is so diverse and delicious. Especially bread, so it would be a miss not to try bread in my country. 😊😊😊
My husband and I just went back to Vietnam for 2.5 weeks, mostly family matters but we did enjoy our stay, minus the heat and traffic noises. I can make most of the Vietnamese dishes in the US but I cannot find fresh meat or snails like those they have in Vietnam. In short, we really enjoyed the snail dishes we had in Vietnam. Your video just makes us wanting another trip back already, and we had just arrived home yesterday! lol...
Glad to see you again, long time no see, your channel is my favourite all the time.
nhìn a dth msf món ăn cũng ngon nữa❤
REVIEW RẤT ẤN TƯỢNG. THANKS

Another great video! Definitely adding these places to my list...planning a trip to Vietnam next year :) appreciate your content Max, much love from DC ✌️
0:54 “củ kiệu” are leeks
22:52 “nui” is the bastardization of the french word “Nouille” which means noodles or pastas in french 😉
24:17 “thập cẩm” literally is “10 precious”… so basically combination dish
Finally, back on track
Glad to see you man
maxxxxx i missed you! 💗😭 i’m glad you’re back 🫂
Welcome back Max
It has been a while since your last video. Somehow I miss it 😢 cause you’re the most informed Vietnamese food blogger. Love the way you described the texture and taste of each dish. You enjoy the food more than the local lol 😂 and yes, these dishes are not to miss in VN. My all time favorite are com tam and bu’n thit nuong …
Love the new style... Looking professional and VERY delicious. Legend as always Max

I noticed it right away. You got a camera person and video quality looks a lot better. Missed you brotha
Thanks for your recommendation, love how you introduce Vietnamese food and drinks, if you wanna have some good "Hủ tiếu", try Thuận Nguyên Quán in Tân Phú, it's wonderful!!!

Life's been a bit cứng with me, and once again see your video on CZcams recommend make me smile like when I was toodle, ahahah
You've gone so far and so fast, and you ate enough Vietnamese food, enough that sometimes I think you're more Vietnamese than me :P
After this comment maybe I'll disappear again from the social network for year or so idk
Can't wait until the next time I see your channel
Love from Vietnam, Max
You are Vietnamese food connoisseur Max! You know the food, the way it's prepared and most of all you have good taste.👍
Max you know sooo much
Super super super good foods in vietnam
Cost $5000 dollars
You &:your Friends family should open 3 small restaurants on the síde of the Streets
Bring many EURO,Americans to enjoy good foods
❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
can't wait to try these places next month!
Watched you over the years and, damn, your Vietnamese accent has improved so rapidly!
Love the new vlog style!

The lady selling bánh mì behind where you sat at the first bún thịt nướng place has super good bánh mì xíu mại. And the Bún bò place at the entrance of the 33 alley is also really good.

Man the production just keeps getting better and better. Keep it up! Love your content
Max, oi…. You’re so awesome. Love your show. I am from the states watching you 3 yrs ago your Vietnamese was very minimal now ya the expert. Happy to see all the Vietnamese people open arms and welcome you. And glad to see you said “Hello Vietnam”. Watching you reminding me of my best friend, white western friend always love Vietnamese food that my family always welcome him over for pho and bun Bo hue on the weekend and enjoying my mom cooking. Ya awesome!! You rock!!!!
Quá ngon ❤
Glad you come
Have you fallen in love? You look like you did!!! Congratulations!!✨✨✨✨
Love your video, especially the one with the com tam where you said the rice was as small as grits. My wife and I spent some time banging around Saigon in 2018, and we want to get back there.
you NEED to try Com Tam Thành in Thủ Đức , their cha is housemade and it's soft and juicy unlike any other cha I've had before. Ate that growing up and I still dream about it ever since I moved fifteen years ago. incredible.
I've been having Max withdrawals and been wondering what happened to you! So glad to finally see you again! Love the new style but I also like the OG as well. Watching your videos inspire me to get cooking Vietnamese again. I wish I had more Vietnamese restaurants n peeps around where I live. 😊
OK NGON BỔ RẺ
Mouthwatering!!! Missed your videos!
