How is Eddy more terrifying and well written in these two shorts than most villains are for entire an entire series?
Without taking merit out of MeatCanyon (because these shorts are AMAZING), writing something for two short videos is far easier than a whole series/story. The long the story goes, the harder is to keep consistency and characters to remain 'well written'.

Sarah is tied to a chair. Jimmy sits next to her, jawless, white eyed, and covered in his own piss. Ed is silently staring her dead on. Seconds feels like minutes. Ed starts to raise his hand at an excruciatingly slow pace. Sarah take this opportunity to try to appeal to Ed's better nature.
He's stoic.
Tears start uncontrollably streaming down her face. Her pink tee becomes soaked, as does the floor as she wets herself in dread. His hand is almost at her shoulder's height; she knows she doesn't have long. Her pleas continue to fall on deaf ears as she quickly runs out of niceties and turns to threats. She tells him that their father will punish him severely, but Ed continues. His still hand has reached it's destination.
Sarah tries to clinch her mouth shut, Ed pushes her bottom six teeth in. They snap like peppermints. The pain is sudden and Sarah sharply inhales sucking three teeth down her windpipe, this causes her to start coughing. She can still breath a little. Ed suddenly grips her bottom jaw with the strength of a chimpanzee. His thumb easily punctures her lower pallet inside her mouth, and his fingers have stabbed through the space past her chin but before her neck. Her once pink A shirt is now stained red with blood and tears.
Ed starts the removal. He must want her to languish in this experience. Sarah is still very much conscious, but the teeth trapped in her esophagus keep her from screaming, not that Ed's hand left room to do so. All of a sudden, it was over. Ed didn't slowly pull her jaw off like he did Jimmy, allowing the mandible to POP out of each socket and allowing the elastic skin to stretch and tear. Instead, in a jerking motion, he instantly twisted her mandible clear off of her face, taking the sockets and part of her upper jaw as well.
Sarah went limp, her small nine year old body twitching in shock and lack of oxygen. She was finally silent. No more whining, no more migraines, no more telling Mom.
Imagine not having seen this in the million special.

Above all else, even the animation, MeatCanyon's sheer dialogue talents always impresses me. It's not like he writes the standard incoherent gibberish horror dialogue that is meant to creep people out, he writes these characters saying genuinely disturbing shit that still makes sense in the overall narrative, but in such a grandiose way, and his voice acting is impeccable at bringing it to life. I especially love Eddie's dialogue in this. "Enjoy this moment, it is so much more vibrant than the darkness that awaits you. I will give you this moment to cherish this, that is my gift, to you... .Existence is behind you now Kevin. Enjoy the silence." like holy mother of fuck that is such a badass yet genuinely dark and disturbing line.

@@willjustice1876 The weirdest thing about the Transformers comics is that they'll just abruptly have the characters say shit that is genuinely profound and way beyond the scope of the material and actually pull off said profound shit. It makes reading them feel almost surreal.

They kind of did that in a less creepy way right from the start. Stuff like Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Robot Chicken, and Sealab 2021 where the original foundation of Adult Swim. And that was just taking old Haana Barbera kids shows, and filling them with adult humor. I doubt this would work on actual TV though.
