Cosmos - The Safety Word

This five-track ambient instrumental album was a cathartic process for the band who were both going through a time of deep personal struggles. "We wanted to create an album that takes the listener on a journey to another world. A safe sonic place where they can leave all the worries, pressures, and stress of the everyday grind behind and drift off into a land of peace and tranquility." Inspired by artists such as Brian Eno, Boards of Canada, Carbon Based Lifeforms and Aphex Twin's ambient works. Recorded over a series of live jams where the goal was capturing raw emotion rather than an overly polished take. Combining analogue noise making devices with digital software to create interesting textures and sonic juxtapositions.
