I love the whole concept except for the length of her acts the only thing I don't is that her acts should be a little bit like reinhardt's Hammer but smaller in length as we see in the concept art so not only that she wields it with one hand while being mobile but then wields it with both hands while attacking maybe to have a sprinkler effect with the healing portion as she has both axes on both ends!
As I explained at the end of the video, Junker Queen would have no impact on goats because CC isn't an effective counter to it in the first place. Moira is objectively stronger in goats, and Lucio and Brig can't be swapped out, meaning that there isn't room for the Queen

To be fair, the implication is that fear of the woman's scream drives the victim to overcome the high-tech super advanced hack with sheer willpower.

I feel hack is a dumb ability that lasts too long. But who am i to say that when my main heroes are Lucio, Hammond, Zarya, Ana, Zen, Rein (gotta fill that maintank) and The occasional Mccree (to deal with pesky Sombras)
If the cc immunity sounds too unrealistic to deny something like EMP and anti-heal, you can even make her shout give everyone who is CCed 4-5 seconds of 30% damage and speed increase. That can represent motivation to fight harder without undercutting the realism of EMP. Reducing their ability cooldowns by 2-5 seconds can also be interesting.
Imagine Zarya CCed everyone with graviton than some rabid lady yelled at her allies. The graviton becomes an angry ball of primary fire.

I think the Junker queen could be a great versatile hero, would bring something fresh to the game. Overwatch sorely needing a new update and hero. Still hoping it's a Healer or tank Hero they'll add!

i have wanted the junker queen for a long time. i would play the hell out of her if this was her kit. great video. jeff kaplan needs to give you a call.
I ABSOLUTELY love this!!! I’ve never even thought of her as support but she covers everything that the game needs right now. The only thing about War Cry is that I’m ok with it getting rid of anti heal but hack is a different story. OTHER THAN THAT I LOVE THIS

I like the CC cleanse ability, it's different enough from Zarya's bubble and Orisa Fortify to be consider as a unique ability while combating the large amount of cc in the game.

I disagree with the queen's shout breaking junkrat's trap. It stops movement by using an outside force holding them down just like graviton. I'm not a junkrat player, I just think it's inconsistent.
(Yes I know some of sombra's hack targets also don't make sense. *Cough* Soldier *Cough Cough*)
Trap and grave are completely different too. Fade and wraith form.
Think of the ability as affecting the character trapped instead of the trap itself, boosting their miral and allowing them to break free of the trap themselves. :)

OMG, THIS IS AMAZING, the best hero concept I've ever seen like perfect the CC counter and how everything fits in place, it's just perfect. Iove her kit so much but now I hate you MASTER beacuse this is obviously not actually going to be in the game! But u made me fall in love with this concept. Great work!

This is actually a really nice spin on the Junker Queen. I’m glad this isn’t a dps concept cuz we have certainly got enough of those. I love the mech idea by the way, it reminds me of a mix between d.va and Brigette and her rally. Nice concept!

This is brilliant! I love all your hero concepts but I think this is my favorite of them. I think the majority of the overwatch community has been hoping for junker queen for a while and Blizzard should definitely think about this kit.
Dude, I love this.
Couple things; damage reduction is deceptively string, since it also effectively increases healing rate while active. Having it on an ability that can be applied to anyone at any time, even at a low amount, is tricky to balance.
Also, having her throw her primary weapon without losing it is visually confusing, especially if it doesn't even have the same effect as usual on hit. It could be swapped for something else, a grenade or a knife, and would be far more readable.
For her playstyle, I feel like she could have a little more control over the battlefield, befitting her role as a queen.
That said, here's my suggestions;
Boom-rang (secondary fire, replaces axe throw):
Medium-slow projectile, explodes on hit, reverses direction (slightly re-aimed toward user) after a short time. Charging the attack increases the range and distance. Catching an unexploded boomerang instantly resets cool-down.
Incoming! (Ability 2, replaces Enforce): The queen orders a mortar strike from her support team. It is targeted like Shadow Step and creates a doomfist style reticule at the target location, visible to enemies and allies alike. After about 1 second a small warhead strikes; upon detonation it releases a cloud of hogdrogen over a 7m radius, providing healing / damage over time, a damage buff / debuff, and a minor defense buff / debuff for allies / enemies in the area for 2 seconds, with the effect dispersing faster for each hero in the radius. Effectively a slower bionade/weak aoe nanoboost with a large telegraph, this move is best used to plan a charge or deny an area. The launch of the projectile can be delayed by holding the confirm button for up to two seconds, with the target being shown to your team for the duration.
Everything else seems great, though!

Junker Queen is my favourite character and she isn't even a playable hero. Hope she becomes playable this year.

This concept has been around the OW forums allot, and I have to say your is very interesting. I will say that I think her Ultimate has to short a duration. Perhaps a 10 second instead of the 8 second duration.

The concept of the passive "Queen's guard" is so cool! I would love to see something like that in the game
Quick suggestion for a visual change on her axe. Instead of throwing the axe itself, have her pull down on a clip while swinging which releases the saw blade and healing liquid as a projectile. It then sticks in the target and the liquid either heals a teammate such that the blade sticking out of them is nullified and outhealed or, on an enemy, it acts as an anticoagulant and allows for the bleed effect. This could be mirrored by having her mech's saw drip with the liquid for the bleed and instantly counter the imaginary damage that it would deal to teammates of they were to be hit.
This ability kit would really fit her leader-like personality. It would be more like that she´s not fighting with others but rather that they fight for her while she heals them. :)
Seems like she'd enforce GOATS super duper hard. Love the concept though, definitely suits what we know of her character.
The damage concept of her axe really reminds me of kreig from borderlands 2 😂

Though I like the concept, I think Junker Queen would be a tank/dps. She is a Scrapyard Champion, by healing? With Wrecking Ball being the Tank variant of the champion, I see JQ being a dps hero. With the game needing more Support and Tank options. If JQ is on the dev’s docket, I don’t see her being announced for another two to three new heroes.
It's very possible that she's now the one to protect her people
To fit the video's idea, you could say she rose to the top through being a good fighter, and adapted healing into her kit to protect and serve as the Queen. I like the idea that Ian has, but I also agree with you. I honestly don't think Blizz are creative enough to do something like this. They'll probably make her a dps with more CC, or make her a specialist that barely gets picked.

“Queens Guard” doesn’t seem like an ability she’d have simply cause in the outback it’s eat or be eaten and she doesn’t seem like the type to have others do her work for her or have allies with her. Like in the comic roadhog only looked out for himself, I highly doubt the queen would have people looking out for her.
she's the queen. Hog only looks out for himself because he isn't a queen. If you disobey the queen of junkertown it's logical to assume your life wont be something you own very much longer. Eat or be eaten is correct, but she's at the top of the food chain, anyone under her better eat for her or they'll be eaten by her. simple.
War cry could be a little too strong an ability especially with the heals so might I suggest that it be put onto a 12 second cooldown just for how many affects it does at once. Also axe throws healing might be too much especially for for an ally maybe 100 would be better and still save an ally with a good amount of healing. Lastly just as a thought maybe you could make her axe throw like a boomerang so it can be able to hit many enemies but heals only one target hit with it and the axe pops out after the throw so she can defend herself. Just some thoughts but this is an great concept. I would love to play her if she was added to the game! What do you think Ian?

As a support main, I like this a lot more than her current build. Being honest, it doesn't really feel like a tank, just a large damage person

Really a shout? Like a normal ass shout? Lucio's healing music at least can be explained away by weird sci-fi science to do with vibrations at the same level as the regeneration of wounds but just a lady shouting? Even Brigitte's rally is mostly caused by her suit I think
If Blizzard has no plans for queen, they should reconsider it for most people want junkerqueen.

Roadhog is a tank, Junkrat is a DPS, it’s only fitting for the Junker Queen to be a support.

This is the first hero concept that I am reallyyyy loving. I feel like she would be a litttle OP but maybe the drawbacks you set for her would mitigate her strength a bit. I had an interesting thought about another effect that Warcry could have (with proper balancing tweaks to avoid a potential OP problem). What if Warcry also removed positive status effects and toggled off healing for enemies (Ana’s biotic grenade effects, and mercy’s/zenyatta’s beam/orb, respectively, get toggled off the moment you use Warcry on them). Just a little thought I had.
But this hero concept is really well-made and, I feel, better presented than many others I’ve seen!! Great work! I personally didn’t care to have JQ in the game but if she repped this kit, I’d be all for it 😂

It's an interesting concept but I don't really agree with your interpretation of a bleed ability. Like does a bleeding wound sound like a short burst status effect? 50 damage over 3 seconds is a strange choice, I know you want it to be different from other things like poison and burn but there's different ways to do that.
Like what it did a tiny amount of damage (like 1-3) every few seconds but for a long time but increases the victims damage taken by other hits by 5-10%

After watching Thor Ragnarok I now have a mental picture of your version of the Junker Queen in battle against an invading gang or Junkertown rebellion, smashing through enemy ranks with her mech-suit and then saw-axe with the Immigrant song blaring in the background and rallying her supporters in the wake of her carnage.
First one of these I've watched, love the effort you put into it. It's good to see someone who doesn't just criticize what we have, but gets creative and shows what we could have.
Also, I feel like a lunge would be appropriate. Like, a big axe chop where she leaps forward and does like 100 dmg. Perfect for a leader who got their position through combat skills -- she seems like an immobile character who just enables, and depends on, her team mates, she lulls you into a false sense of security, you think you can take her and then BAM! she shows you she still got some bite and cuts you down. Would be a lot of fun managing when to use it. And I mean, if you're gonna put a combatant with a fat axe in the game you don't want it to be weaksauce.
