I bought this as a hobby welder, to repair our camper van. I have not welded for a long time but it all came back to me in a flux, with this mighty little welder. My ambition is to progress to some arty farty sculpture and build my skills and confidence. Your tuition and reviews certainly insired me John. Thank you.

Big plus on inverter welders is that the open circuit voltage is a lot higher than a single phase (230/240 volt) transformer type, lot easier to strike an arc.
Nice honest review John, nice unit.
    Thanks for sharing.

When I tried stick welding, it lived up to its name, because it kept sticking to the job. 😁

That's my problem too. So I stick to TIG and MIG now.

@@jagboy69 Don't you mean you *unstick* to TIG and MIG? 😁

    Great video …
I’d never considered gasless welding until seeing this welder . My old 25 year old Cebora mig is knackered and this looks like a contender .
    Thanks for the info .

I enjoyed this review, honest and practical real world relevant review. No brand snobbery, great impartial opinion of how it actually preformed.

Hi John, cracking little unit, and very straightforward review mate, well done. Thought about chucking my name in the mix for a chance to replace the grandad SIP 130 transformer set I have, but mine sort of works so I will leave well alone in the hopes this goes to someone who has no gear today. Cheers, Jon
