These stories come right out of the Alexander Romances, man-made legends written not long before the Quran and popular in the region. It's interesting that their origin is never mentioned. You can find online resources that show the myths, and compare the verses.

@@theastronomer5800 That's a partly fictional book according to the book itself specially the love affairs. Then there are many stipulations as when this book was written and whether Alexander had anything to do with it in the first place.
If the point was that there was mention of Gog Magog stories earlier, then I would say you can find them too in many even earlier books and traditions including Hindu books and hieroglyphics as well as many others.

This Dr is intelligent, but he's brushing over the hadiths relating to the gog and magog.
If Allah wants to take the common sense out of the gog and magog, that is easy for Allah. These people exist, and if Allah wills, they're location will always be a secret even if it is in plain sight.
Allah is capable of doing this.

Exactly, it's like there are people on this earth that are mentally challenged, but suddenly get cured. Does that not happen? Subhan Allah. They seem to forget, it's not the fire that burns you, it's Allah's will That the fire will burn you. Also according to this sheikh who brushes over the hadeeth, these "humans" are over 1000 years old, which human nowadays lives that long? This means Allah willed for them to be different than us. There is enough scripture that describes them, their length of lives and that one would not die until they see an x amount of their descendants alive. I don't watch Imran hussein, not everything he says is accurate. I stick to scripture, Quran and strong hadith, not personal opinion, preference and belief.

Also, we aren't as Muslims supposed to abbreviate "alayhy assalam" etc to "as" or "aws". Spell it out and have respect for the prophets my dude. I love how at the beginning, you did not want to explain or add proof because "it would take too long" but you have no problem typing out an entire argument. Makes no sense.

Separating facts from fiction seems essential for a religion to be credible. Looking into the contexts of the Quran we see that things are placed in a manner which is very rationale but in hadith it is always miraculous and strangely similar to Bible stories. E. g. the quranic attitude is that the prophet (pbuh) is seen as a man chosen because he was of exceptional character. But the hadith perspective is that he was already chosen by God and thus is of exceptional character. The quranic description of Adam is very straight forward and no Eve is even mentioned even but the hadith has the very exact description as portrayed in the Bible, that eve is made from his ribs and he was 60 cubit tall etc.

    • @aidenpearce9066
      @aidenpearce9066 Před 3 lety

The hadith always confuse me, it is obvious that god always said: if nobody in this world know when the end of the world(kiamah) going to happen. But then Muslim on his hadith said if prophet Muhammad have told him that the end of the world(kiamah) is not pretty much far away from his time, even the hadith told us: Muhammad give us the analogy that the length of the end of the world(kiamah from Muhammad period) is about Muhammad 1 finger length

since the west is more focusing on the outlook of something and based on that the easily explain it by the simple translation, and islamic scholars of east or Aisa are explaining it spiritually, the issue to which one shall I /we believe and from whom shall we/ I learn.

From verses of Quran its clear that yegog and megog are trapped up somewhere because word فتحت implies in it, according to ahadith this matter was also discussed at the time of meraj among prophet ibrahim, moses, chirst and Muhammad PBUH, only christ told the prophet PBUH that on his descent on earth he will kill dajjal and yegog nd megog, Allah knows best about His Plans, but we cant snub ahadith coz if something look very odd this doesnt mean that will be faricated story, Im sure if some miraclius event wouldnt be in Quran , persons like Dr shabir nd Ghamdi would must hav snubbed as fabricated stories, if caves of men could sleep more than 300 years, if a camel of Saleh can come out of a mountain etc then anything could be happened...100 years back how we could beleive that bare footed arabs will compete in skyscrappers but now we can see with our naked eyes they hav built Burj Al Khalifa they are building burj jadda that wil be taller than burj khalifa, how could we know that mountains of black gold will be discoverd in gulf...but now we can see huge reservoires of black crude oil in gulf, so propheses are becoming true and true...nd we are still perplexed....

  • @sheikemuranahabubakarfeika9294

One thing I was impressed when heard was the fact that some Hadith need to be questioned.
We Muslims don't question even a single letter from the Quran because we know and it has been proven to be the Word of Allah.
As for the Hadith, some of them were selfishly written and some were not preserved.
I was shocked to see a Hadith that said Prophet PBUH tried to kill himself many times if a narration delayed...most especially that the Hadith used Aisha RA as reference.
My main interest is about UNDERSTANDING the reality in hadiths. İf not that we need many of them, all should be erase from history...

It can be that a tectonic plate breaks apart. If so, a plume of hot rock can rise from deep within the Earth's interior, which can cause massive volcanic activity on the surface.
It often sound that in hadith interpretation, the lava was mixed with the consequences of it on people.

Dr Ally interprets the hadith literally, and then applies a human-centric rationality to say that the hadith taken literally are not sufficiently meaningful and hence not authentic. But this methodology used by Dr Ally is problematic. If a hadith is not meaningful from a human-centric point of view (which is the literal interpretation), then we should first see whether it is meaningful from a purely metaphysical point of view. The case of hadith on Ya'juj and Ma'juj, for example, can be meaningfully interpreted in the light of metaphysics, and hence their authenticity should not be doubted.

Yajuj and Majuj are a source of corruption upon the earth. Since there is no outward corruption without there first being an inward corruption (in the souls of men), the hadith on Yajuj and Majuj may signify the evil in men's souls that is "trying to get out". Allah prevents this evil from escaping until towards the end of time when religion declines and ignorance spreads the evil finally comes out to consume the world. At this time the evil will be in the majority and the good in the minority. The evil may in fact manifest itself as armies which wage wars that ravages the earth. Allahu a'lam.

    • @mohammads.r.370
      @mohammads.r.370 Před 6 lety

Dhul Qarnain is shown to be a wise and just leader. The wall signifies an obstruction to the actualization of destructive evil. Perhaps Dhul Qarnain refers to a specific ruler who particularly exemplified justice and wisdom. But perhaps it refers more generally to an age in which such rulers existed. In either case, the justice and wisdom of rule (as willed by Allah) prevented the evil latent in men's souls from manifesting itself. This is despite the fact that men have a tendency towards actualising these latent evils (hence to try to break through the wall). But towards the end of time justice and wisdom declines, thus the evil can break through the "wall" and manifest its destructive force. Allahu a'lam.

Shabir Ally's methodology is that whenever he comes across a hadith that is ridiculous and implausible he dismisses it on that grounds as necessarily a false hadith. He never considers the possibility that the hadith is authentic and that it is muhammad who is genuinely saying things which nowadays when we are more rational and have greater understanding of the world seem ridiculous and implausible.
Shabir Ally's methodology is biased with the foregone conclusion that muhammad must necessarily be a truthful prophet of God rather than adopting an intellectually honest, unbiased, neutral historical methodology that weighs up whether a hadith reliably reports what muhammad said.

Think he’s more so coming from the angle that’s if the Hadith contradicts with the Quran, then it’s unlikely the prophet would have said it (IMO)

His methodology is correct.. you must refute the Quran first to prove that he is biased.. being biased by what he proved to be correct is the right way to to interpret..
      So his way is reasonable.

I really like Dr Shabir and respect him a lot, but unfortunately I think on this matter his knowledge and understanding is lacking in Hadith, which is kind of apparent in this video. Firstly the claim that Allah revealed this story to prophet Mohammed in order to show that he is not ignorant of what they believe etc. is very problematic and would be much harder to adjust than Gog and Magog story I would say. There is an insistence in Quran to believe in unseen and what has been foretold or prophesied, افلا تؤمن for example, or يؤمنون بالغيب etc.
This story is in relation with the signs of day of judgement, which will erect upon people who would have no faith, in opposition to a naturalistic explanation, the spiritual reason is more stressed here. So instead of saying that we are moving towards black hole a Muslim can say that disbelief would bring an end to this world.
Now, each and every event mentioned in relation to this is not of the nature that if presented, people would accept it on the face of it, so is the case with Gog and Magog.
I would love to write more about what I learned about this topic, but I know that most probably no one would read this, so I am trying to write the important bit.
Look at the event from two aspects, future and the people who were facing Gog and Magog. Later is a super natural phenomenon that there is such a large community which is hidden from us humans, but the earlier is not. That there was a time, when human were aware of them, and they complained about them to Zulqarnain, and Allah by his grace gave him the power to overcome them.
All the western scholars or scholars who live or and are influenced by materialism always discuss the future never you would see that they discuss that once they existed.
And I say this without meaning any disrespect to Dr Shabir and all of the other scholars or famous Muslims or Muslims with large followings.
Now again, coming back to the point that what would happen in the future, only people who would encounter it would know, from now we can just speculate. However about the past, we can look into and inquire. There are many scholars who write and speculate about who Zulqarnain was, and why they believe that the person was him. These Gog and Magog were not a community or a large group at that time, and may be they are still not. But they will grow in such multitude that they would outnumber humans in many folds, and that environment would be provided to them by Allah, they will drink all the water of the world and they would spread bloodshed and would not be defeated, neither they were before. And finally they would die because Jesus A.S. would curse them.
Which Hadith or verse of Quran says that they are in such large numbers as of now?
I hope that you try to reflect upon what I want to say, I am not a scholar or writer, I just want to share my thoughts on the topic, please ask if there is any question.
Respectfully if Dr Shabir would give me an opportunity I would love to explain it further to him, which may benefit many Muslims and non Muslims alike, InshaAllah and Allah knows the best.

So tell a really bizarre story that is impossible given we have now mapped the planet and know there is no such wall and not 9 x 8 Billiin people living on the other side of it to teach the lesson god will protect you, don’t worry? One would have to be incredulous to accept this as a rational explanation surely.

Shamaz Lila you need to differentiate between competitive and self learning for the betterment of character, self esteem and protection. I asked that question and was told that you can't justify hurting your self or others for sport where bets are made on a winner or loser competitive when you have option before and you haven't exhausted those if your looking for financial gain. There are rare cases of people having no option but tomfight, but those are very rare. So practice, learn and teach, but don't compete and make competing and hunting your self and others a living. Ask around though.
