- Everyone knows the trail of dominance Dale Earnhardt Jr left at the hallowed grounds of Daytona, but it is criminally untapped how ridiculous of a stranglehold he had in the Busch/Xfinity Series. It was an automatic victory for a 4 year stretch when he entered in those races and it was more impressive of an accomplishment than you think. This covers all the details.

Underrated Restrictor Plate drivers in the Busch Series from that era, Joe Nemechek & Randy LaJoie. Randy won 3 300 mile Daytona races in a 5 year span from 97 to 2001. Joe Nemechek swept both Busch Series plate races in 1998 & then won the 1st summer Daytona Busch Series race in 2002. He was running near the front in the other races that he didn't win to include finishing 2nd to Dale Jr at Dega in 2003. Another honorable mention other than Tony Stewart is Martin Truex Jr who while driving for Dale Jr's Chance 2 team, won 3 consecutive Talladega races from 04 to 06 & also won the summer Daytona 250 miler in 2005...

Winning 4 in a row and 5 out of 6 Talladega races and finishing 2nd in the one he didn't win or would been 6 in a row on sunday's wasn't to bad either.

Jason Lefler made me cry that night. I was 5 but he still made me cry myself to sleep. He was such a dick on track no matter what he ran. Never understood it. Obviously I know he passed but I still never understood why he drove like that. Made a little boy cry that night.
