The 2012 NASCAR Season Doesn't Get Talked About Enough
It wasn't all that long ago, but the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season is one of the most underrated in the 21st century. It's easy to forget how compelling the story arc was from February to November with all the twists and turns you could ever draw up. This video is going to put some respect on its name and shed some light into the details unraveling all the drama that came with it.

Jeff Gordon vs Texas Motor Speedway
zhlédnutí 10KPřed 5 měsíci
We all know Jeff Gordon is one of the all time greats and nothing can change that. But the luck (or lack thereof) he experienced at Texas was appalling throughout his career. This is an in depth look at what transpired as blow after blow was dealt for almost 20 years to the 24 car. Be sure to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE! Track Dominance: Dale Jr-Daytona (Busch Series)
zhlédnutí 15KPřed 6 měsíci
Everyone knows the trail of dominance Dale Earnhardt Jr left at the hallowed grounds of Daytona, but it is criminally untapped how ridiculous of a stranglehold he had in the Busch/Xfinity Series. It was an automatic victory for a 4 year stretch when he entered in those races and it was more impressive of an accomplishment than you think. This covers all the details. Revisiting NASCAR in Japan

It can't be overstated enough how remarkable it was that NASCAR accomplished the feat of trekking dozens of cars and equipment 7000 miles overseas 3 years in a row after a long 30 race season just concluded. This is the tale of how it was done, and how it performed. You be the judge on if it should return. Video credits: BWRacing Racing Jungle Dave W wfrncsu012 SMIFF TV Matthew Sullivan Michael...

Buckle up and witness the true roller coaster that was my perspective of locking onto Enumclaw, Washington's Kasey Kahne for the entirety of his Cup Series career. It was heartbreak. Track Dominance: Jeff Gordon-Indianapolis

It's no secret that Jeff Gordon is one of the greatest drivers in motorsports history. But what he accomplished at Indianapolis Motor Speedway over a 20 year span is one of the most remarkable aspects of his career. It felt necessary to do an in depth dive into each chapter and display just how dominant he and his team were for such a long period of time. Jeff wasn't always disdained by the maj...

NASCAR and the Curse of the Looney Tunes

In the early 2000's as part of the boom in popularity of the sport, Chevrolet took advantage in the marketing department and inserted a dazzling theme to a select race at Richmond Raceway. The idea? Fantastic. The outcome? Not so much. Here's a deep dive into what went wrong with the Looney Tunes/NASCAR collaboration from 2001-2002. Why 4th of July Weekend BELONGS at Daytona

The self proclaimed crown jewel that was NASCAR at Daytona on this holiday weekend was a victim of the ever-growing narrative of entertainment over racing and tradition. I just watched another video that made me think of this one and it's a good sequel tbh. "Jimmie Johnson vs Michigan International Speedway"
Would it make sense to run the 24 Hours of Daytona the immediate Sunday before the 500 to help compact the Speedweeks schedule? I don’t think there’s as much fan interest in practice sessions compared to years past but maybe some more preliminary races (even on the road course) might help. You no longer have IROC or the Dash Series to help fill out the schedule either. Also most people forget the Daytona 500 was not the first points race until 1982. In many years before that it was Riverside.
Mark Martin ran 1 full time season in the Busch series it was 1987
OMG you actually talked over the whole video. Did you think people wanted to hear you or see Rusty Wallace race?
I live next to bristol only track I've ever been too
I have that bruce lee diecast
Really should be called revisit to why in japan mike skinner is the goat 🐐
Why did this state hate Gordon? Because Texas is Earnhardt fans. 😅
Great video. Lots of great memories here.
I agree. This was the first ever nascar season i've watched.
Jimmie Johnson vs Chicagoland
You should Kevin Harvick at Phoenix
Jeff won 7 points championships, but was denied 3 of them, 2004, 2007 and 2014 due to NASCAR’s gimmicky playoff system, not Texas Motor Speedway.
I have the complete set even the pace cars of both races
At 2015 Texas was kind enough to give him mercy, top 10s in both races
Oh yeah midnight was a bad machine my favorite car
Rusty was the man my favorite driver all time
man i loved that interstate batteries number 18. when DW was done i picked bobby as my new favorite
Midnight was my favorite Rusty Wallace car
That Charlotte race in 2004 was all on Tommy Baldwin for not getting tires.
The loone tunes, coke v. Pepsi, Star Wars themed races were the BEST AND MOST ICONIC. Damn if only we had these back…
This video narrated my thought processes and emotions almost exactly, as I was 9 when I started watching Kasey in 04 & went wholeheartedly diehard as well. The emotional roller coaster of being a Kasey fan was insane but the emotions at Atlanta ‘14 & the Brickyard are spot on. The saddest part for me is that if he hadn’t had the health issues in the car, he may have taken the #41 at SHR and who knows how that could’ve gone. (That was only a rumor I saw no confirmation that there were any talks)
How about jimmie Johnson at Dover?
That's coming eventually
Do Kurt Busch vs Las Vegas
D.W. said it best… A lap around Texas is like swinging a brick around on a rope…. Well something like that lol
Wasn't a total loss since he was finally able to win there NOW do Rusty Wallace VS Daytona & Talladega...
I was a junior fan. Watched him win the Winston in Charlotte in 2000. Let’s face it though. He was an average driver at best. Never came close to the championship and really was done 5 years before he retired. Great guy. Funny. Smart. Nice. But not a top tier driver.
Crazy how he felt like a lock at Nov. Atlanta in late 90s even if he hadn’t won yet across the year.
Kyle busch Vs the Daytona 500
I really don't appreciate your misrepresentation of Jeff at Texas in 2010, he did NOT hit JJ, JJ got aero loose and almost lost it then he rammed into JG in an unprovoked hissy fit.
2014 was a sickening race. So dominant and a devastating loss
Sometimes I feel like life is TMS and I’m Jeff Gordon
Great vid!!! Very interesting hearing about a drivers history from a fans perspective. Well edited and great story telling. Well done
Jeff Gordon went down the track into keselowski lmao it’s so clear at 13:30
Next do a Kyle Busch at Bristol one
Bill Elliot almost won Texas the year before o was there. That number 9 dodge left the entire field by a half a lap till the motor blew
We’re the same age he got me by a month. Spring 1980
Earnhardt fan Sr when I was 9 Jr when I was 20. Kasey was a good dude.
The irony here is that Jeff Gordon broke his second longest winless streak at Texas in 2009, and then went on to run very well there until the end of his career. He was in contention to win the chase race there in 2012 until running out of fuel right before a caution which made him lose over 20 positions. He finished second to Logano in the spring 2014 race and then was going on to win the '14 chase race until the late caution and we all know what happened after that. He then posted 2 more top 10s in his final season. COT era onward, Texas was a pretty good track for Gordon.
Good video but I wish you had gone into detail on two things: 2004 when he was leading and his battery failed and by the time he switched to the backup he had to lost a few positions 2007 when he was leading but hit the wall and he fell off Those were two races where he ended up with good finishes but certainly frustrating
it was keslowski
I think Kurt Busch vs Martinsville would be a good choice. Tony Stewart vs the Daytona 500 could be another candidate.
I forever hate Clint bowyer. Costed him multiple wins for his stupidity
Spring 2014 also stings as it was his second last lap pass loss with the other being Dega 2011. All angrily heartbreaking.
4 championships 93 wins Well why hate on one track so much
Great video. Top marks all around. I can't put my finger on it but there's something familiar about your voice and style of editing. You got my subscription. Can't wait to see whats next. In the meantime, I'm watching your older stuff.
Its a shame the algorithm didn't suggest your videos to more people because they're grrreat! I wish I could have seen them 2 years ago...
Funny how no body bitches about the second Wilkesboro date going to New Hampshire.
Jimmie Johnson vs Michigan is another one that people forgot
How is there not a video of his dad at this track
My favorite Jeff Gordon win is probably that 2009 win at Texas, especially seeing him struggle for years there. It was almost cleansing.
