Why I chose/How I got into Carnegie Mellon SCS (Stats, EC's, Advice)

quarantine hair kinda wack but enjoy the second vid lol
But yeah as you can see I wasn't exactly the perfect student. I failed an AP Test and my unweighted GPA wasn't a 4.0 (forgot to mention this), yet I still was able to get into a competitive program (School of Computer Science acceptance rate is like 5% - 7% depending on the year). This is by no means a golden standard of what you should be aiming for, everyone's application story is different, and as long as you're authentic and passionate about what you do, you'll succeed regardless of wherever you end up :)

I just got the acceptance letter from cmu for my masters. I am probably going go there as well since I have a bachelor's degree in cs and physics. Seems like cmu would be a great choice to further my study!

You can ask your counselor to take AP classes freshman year and the good part is admission officers know which AP classes are available to you freshman year so if none are available, it will not be held against you.

ok so if I were in your position, I would probably aim for Michigan university because of its ranking and also its status.
3.6 is pretty questionable but if you can impress them with your application, then I think you would be perfect at Michigan for robotics. good luck
