I wanted to say that this was an excellent series , from start to finish. I don't know if I will ever build rifle , this series shows that it can be done and you may not need a gunsmith
to do it if you are handy around the shop. Great job Caleb.

It would’ve been cool to see how it groups as far as 3 or 5 shot groups with some different loadings.

I came expexting poor fundimentals. Nice shooting man, especially for a hunter build! Good vertical at 500 and the rest was wind.

With a brand-new scope mounted I always like to shoot a box test at under 100 yards. Send one round down range, then without changing the point of aim, put ten clicks right and send another round. Then again, without changing your point of aim put ten clicks down and fire another round. Then ten clicks left and finish with ten clicks up. The end result should be a nice box of shot holes on your paper with the first and last (ideally) being in the same shot hole (or very close). Unless you're not a very good shooter, this is a good indication of whether you spent money wisely on your scope or not. Additionally, it will verify if you truly have the scope leveled with the rifle. If not, your box will be more of a parallelogram.

Not trying to troll, but I was expecting to see some group size analysis. Still a good video, and impressive you were able to take it out to 500 yards on day one.

It was in the original plan, but the wind was extreme so we're saving it for a future video when we can get back out there in some decent weather.

@@CalebSavant Understandable. Are you going to try different brands/types of ammo? It's always nice to see average, largest, and smallest group size. Thank you for the videos!

Can you suggest a build in 6.5 grendel with a 20" threaded barrel, composite stock to fit a 6'3" guy, and adjustable trigger? It would be a build over time with my sons 308 build. Money is ridiculously tight these days.
