If I only had Sovereign class I could make hours long video about the mistakes, but it's still a great ship! Love the video :D
Great video Chris, love your videos, always very interesting and detailed reviews.
Thank you Ian
seriously for £50 you expect all the windows to be placed in all the right places.... this is why i stopped at issue 95 the quality verses price was not what it should have been.... poor show eaglemoss!!!
The same sized secondary shuttle bays is a glaring error considering we clearly saw their actual appearance every week in the TNG title sequence..overall it should have been better for the price.
Your right I forgot about that, The secondary shuttle bays should be different in size. Well spotted Stansman63
I can't stand this oversight. The asymmetry of the bays 2 and 3 is very appealing visually. Eaglemoss made this mistake on the normal-sized D as well. I actually returned a Corgi model because of this error. No excuse!!
i think its because they copied the corgi model
Yes please I would love to see that review 👍🏻👍🏻
I honestly expected more for a model of THIS price, 64 eur is very very pricey for something as this. The Impulse engines are always a problem when it comes for eaglemoss models, for some reason. Model defects are intolerable for me as someone who pays a LOT of attention to detail/quality. The way necks in Enterprise models also aren't fitted into the Saucer properly bugs me a lot.
Yeah it is a lot of money and the few mistakes really takes away from what is a great model which could have been even better
Beautiful ship! I wanted to get these bigger Enterprises but no room I just love the normal collection and specials tho. great video!
Finally i found my Trekkie Channel , keep up the good work 😊
Thanks Alexander
I just ordered this and I can't wait for the Enterprise E Eaglemoss Large ship... I love those 2 ships!
I was considering getting this model after filming some of the older issues (very happy I got the Kyushu on time!) but I reckon the painting errors would bug me too much ;/
Great model! I saw it in Forbidden Planet in NYC recently .. awesome!
I've always like that enterprise tng. It's practical looking. Even the new movie version are well done but this one always gave me the impression of being a huge starship.
My only complaint is that they did not make a separation in the mold between decks 9 & 10 to show sensor array separating the two decks on the saucer which is a prominent feature that also highlights 10 Forward.
Great review Lad Greeting from Co Tyrone yeoooooo
HFFA - hot from far away
Up close and personal it is way too expensive.
Too many mistakes and Details missing.
Still hoping for the Big Refit, -A, -C and hopefully Excelsior to be worth the price.
TOS and D unfortunately aren't in my opinion. :/
+Kai Peters Yes it is dear and I love it but doing a review I have to be fair on you guys that want to spend your money on something you think is worth the price. I always hate spending money and getting the item and going OMG what the feck I did buying that online and spending that much ! Just glad my review helped you make your mind up.
As for me I am still over the moon I finally have an Ent D it's correct hull colour 😁
And you guys are doing a great job reviewing the models. :)
When I first heard of the collection the first thing I did was looking for reviews and found Damiens Channel.
His videos and my tight budget helped me decide to cherry pick the models that I want and think they are worth it. :)
Glad to help people pick and choose the models they really want :)
I agree with you about the transporter arrays. I'm also sad that the Enterprise doesn't have the lifeboats on the top of the saucer section alongside the bridge.
For the sheer size of it and the cost and the so-called expertise of the models it is a bit of a pain. Others gave done much better. :(
However for those rather numerous nitpicking parts the ship is lovely and very nice.
Agree 100 % Nicholas, Thanks for watching
Great review
Magnificent! (But you know what I'm thinking of...)
For that price all windows should be aligned. Those non-alignments on the ventral side are egregious.
Yeah windows where no windows are is very annoying. I will be removing mine later I might do a video on it and put it up if it works out !
This is sadly a common issue on Eaglemoss models. It's very hit and miss if you get them aligned on your model or not.
TalesOfWar the honest truth is they really don't care people are going to buy them regardless. and it's all coming from the business side, and definitely not from the designer side I'm sure they all want to get the issues fixed but I'm sure their bosses said it'll be fine. so my big thing would I buy it absolutely not. for 80 bucks it is absolutely not worth it to me.
The few I have, mistakes seen. I use to build plastic models to ad my own details, always do. Enterprise D model I did detail work, upon assembly, some plastic parts of the body are a bit warped, no pun intended, some misalignment, but I guess it's the mass production as a cause for those little mistakes.
Yeah I'd love to see a comparison video.
Going to start work on it soon, Thanks for watching Razorgeist
Hi TrekCollector Chris a awesome Review buddy I love Jumbo EnterpriseD but I love my Jumbo EnterpriseD in my Collection 🖖🏻
+Scottish Trekkie yes she has mistakes but she is the best Ent D out there. I 'm really thinking in the next week to do a review about all 4 different models against her and let the people choose who has done the best work
Thetrekcollector yeah a great idea 👍🏻I saw the mistakes on mine the underside saucer and there no second line on mines as well from secondary saucer live long and Prosper Chris buddy 🖖🏻
A wonderful review very detailed very impressive, This man knows what hes talking about . I'm wondering what do you think about Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise 1701-D - Enterprise Replica Bluetooth Speaker, Have you checked it out yet would love to see you review it.I'm subbing now ty
Diamond Select is releasing a Enterprise-C and I heard a Reliant too, I hope they soon to a Voyager, I NEED a large size of my favorite ship like the ones from Diamond, because the last one I remember being released on a size like that is the Bandai Model Kit which is good doesn't need glue, but has I think water-slide decals which a a pain in the butt, and the other one do need glue. I want a model that is already built and hopefully can reposition the nacelles, and interchangeables parts for the landing gear.
It is such a shame they messed up so bad on painting the recessed windows on the underside of the saucer! It is so obvious! Where is their quality control?
Yeah agreed they really need to fix this same problem !
Its all about money, where ever they produce these, probably China, the quality will always vary and it tends to go with the best "bang for buck", which doesn't always translate to the best product for us.
those Windows at 2:45 are not windows.. according to the TNG Technical Manual, it is a deflector dish for the saucer section
bandittweintraub Just pull out my old Technical manual and your right ! I Always thought that point to inbetween decks 9 & 10
Models over cgi always wins for me cgi is cool but miniatures and hand make skill
IT LOOKS TO HAVE TO MANY ISSUES FOR THE PRICE. A SHAME FOR A HERO SHIP.
Last seen star trek enterprise: season 4 final
Nice enterprise d model and like your ireland t-shirt
Thanks Richard
can a bigger version pre lit be got ?
5:18 Have you by any chance seen “Star Trek: Phoenix”? It is a fan series set after the destruction of Romulus in the Prime Timeline on the USS Phoenix, Ascendance-class - a Federation-Romulan design.
I don't really like the Starfleet uniforms, but they do at least move the technology forward with wormhole transporters and the introduction of quantum slipstream drives on Starfleet vessels.
I didn't know that they upped the price on the diamond select enterprise d. when it first came out, I got it for about $50 USD or so thereabouts - but not $99.
I know, it has double in price and they haven't done any improvements too it !
That's sad... but on the other hand, it's one of the largest ships with lights/sounds and was considered THE best ship out of the lot by a lot of fans. The fact that the saucer could detach was a bonus nobody was expecting. The second best was the Nemesis Enterprise E version... I think.
This looks better than the Sovereign. Still not worth the money. That lower-neck spacing is horrid. This ship is a wonder of design, Any supposed 'quality' representation should reflect accordingly.
this looks to be a corgi copy, because shuttle bays 2 and 3 are supposed to have different sized doors.
Having a look at this video again. It’s a lovely model, but it’s certainly not worth £49.99.
You weren't too harsh on it. That model is shite. I'd be a lot more disappointed than you are.
mine arrived with the nacelles curled too much inwardly towards the midline of the ship. I've noticed that yours aren't perfectly aligned straight either. Given the seemingly rather brittle feel of the plastic and the paint, I assume they aren't adjustable with heating them up? It's really jarring. I'm not sure if I should return mine. Sitting on my shelf it just looks bad, like a bent ship
If you got it off Eaglemoss or Hero collector, give then a call a ask about a replacement. They have always been great for me. Ps they don't know I'm the Trek Collector. Hope this helps
@@thetrekcollector976 thanks, I did and they will resend. But I think chances are that there would still be some defect. Eaglemoss QC leaves a lot to be desired. I did take a hairdryer to my original one. I was able to fix it temporarily, but I over did one nacelle a little so I tried to correct it and ended up melting the stardrive section, lol
4k at 4:3 aspect ratio?
I’d love to see this agains the diamond select one.
+Qc4073 I might just do that down the road. Big difference between the 2 plus the size but for someone that only wants to buy 1 I can see that review being a good help
Do they make one with a detachable saucer section?
Afraid not at the moment, there was talk awhile back but I think those plans were scrapped
Again for a company that produces officially licenced models this is simply NOT done!
The mistakes, the price...unbelievable that these products are even selling or allowed to be sold! 🤦♂️
I was pissed with the missing torpedo tube in the middle.
1(really really important): Where do u bought it?????????????? I want ! 😃
2: I agree, but you go to watch every single detail, also if it is done with a PC 3D program, it's not easy , if no, they had to pay for the real model used for TNG and then copying it with a minor scale, however difficult and with issues
Aren’t the shuttle-bays supposedly be asymmetrical?
Why do they always get the cargo bays wrong? The Hot Wheels is the only die-cast to ever get that right.
it tiny!
I wish the Enterprise G was available...
I'd like the F from STO. That's "official" short of being canon as it hasn't been shown on "screen", nothing has superseded set yet in TV or film. They've done a few other ships from STO I believe.
yes put it up against the other models of enterprise d.
+Paul Flournoy I will this day next week 👍
I think Eaglemoss in Brazil does not present the format like this one from the USS Enterprise-D.
I don't get why people buy these models. When you can build one yourself that is vastly superior.
What the fuck is the deal with the digital ACU paint pattern? WTF?
Still a damn fine ship Chris.
+Rekreated1 Hell yes it is. I think I will do the review with it against all the other D's out there just to show how good it is 😁
Thetrekcollector
Please do sir.
What is the best Enterprise D then?
After looking at the ones I have for some time I have to say my pick would be the Aoshima 1:2000 TV version
jumbo?
That's horrible. It's not worth even _half_ that price. There's just too much laziness and lack of care in that thing. As the problems stand, it's worth maybe $35. Fix the problems and it's worth $100 or more.
darkridge What a great point
I knew Eaglemoss would F' up the paint. LOL Never fails.
Derek Murray well a part from the few things I pointed out, she is one beautiful model and finally to have an Enterprise D in the right colour I can live with the mistakes
It sucks. Too many faults.
Does the saucer separate?
No I'm afraid it doesn't
Mine does. 😉 (Had it out of the box for 1 min and the saucer fell off. )
Don't think I'll be investing in that, So much detail lacking for the price.
does the Enterprise Separate as well
I'm afraid she doesn't rbrtpongo

Sorry, but in my view, Eaglemoss products are JUNK. They could be great, but their quality control is TERRIBLE, compounded by AWFUL customer service. I have ordered 3 separate Star Trek ship products, and each time have needed to fight for multiple replacements, due to poor paint finishes, wonky nacelles etc. As customers and a fan base, we should demand much better, particularly at this price point, and with Eaglemoss's self-proclaimed reputation for quality products.
Actually there are windows above the Captain's Yatch and just above the registry number on the bottom saucer. Here's an image from "Unification" to show ya.

Many many problems. Again no thrusters. Lifeboats wrong. IMPULSE NAIL POLISH LEGOS?! Shuttle bay doors unpainted.. Meh. Whole color scheme feels a bit off.
I played this video by accident and now CZcams thinks I'm 13 years old.
+Martijn Warnas CZcams must know your young at heart 😁
I thought this diecast was nice. @t
Over priced low quality I've stopped collecting these quite a while ago l wouldn't pay 10 for this. The upper registry number seems misaligned to me.
so all in all an over priced peace of crap
Yeah, $75 for that little thing is ridiculous.
It doesnt separate? Laame
Sadly no
Damn, that looks really shitty up close. Im sure it would look fine at a distance of 5-10 feet away. But up close the painting and details look sloppy and amateurish. Great video tho...
