They can't. It would put them in dire legal trouble if they did. There would be a class action lawsuit for claiming they've been opening up and cleaning every console when we obviously know they haven't. Right now they're at the point where they have to keep going with the lie and pretend everything is ok and hope the media stops going over them. Which the media won't lol. They're just digging themselves further and further into a grave.

I’m honestly shocked. Even for DkOldies who are an absolute disaster this is just a complete joke. After all the damage control they have been doing they still are a con. I thought after how basically everyone has caught on to their scams they may actually improve but no… they haven’t. Thank you for continuing to expose this company. I hope that class action law suit goes through and they get shut down.

Regarding that "cosmetic flaw" (the missing rubber foot), it was probably removed because that rubber can swell and trigger the eject button infinitely. This is both annoying, and prevents you from playing games on the disc drive. The easiest way to remedy this IS to remove the foot.
can confirm I had to do that on my old ps4 when it would randomly wake me up at 2am to do that nonsense.

I can't believe they didn't send the console in a factory reset state. There was still somebodies profile on there! What if you did sign into his profile and he had his psn/card details stored so you can just buy games on his account. They aren't even protecting customer data that's illegal. I can't believe how shady this company is.

Occasionally he goes over LukieGames. Although it's not as fun because while they do mess up in ways that they shouldn't from what I've seen is really nothing to be angry about, annoyed but not angry. DKOldies has made me mad with how poorly it's managed they can't seem to do anything right while pretending they do. I'm not a LukieGames shopper either just calling it the way I see it.

It’s true. You should do it yourself. But the point is that DK Oldies never turned it on. Which is probably the easiest part of the refurbishment process.

6:25 that rubber foot was possibly removed because of the disc eject button. I had to partially remove mine because the eject touch button wraps to the bottom and over time as the rubber foot got weaker it pressed into the eject button and would randomly go off

At this point, I'm almost wondering if DK is intentionally screwing up orders for people like Jacob for publicity. I can't imagine a company this consistently incompetent being in business for as long as them.
I think not wiping the data & lying about being refurbished is a very large issue.
You need to do a video on the return process and the communication of the staff when they screw up big on an order like this and you have evidence.

they do they sell "refurbished consoles" and never clean them. The prices on their items are also insanely high a playstation pro can be bought for 200 here in the Netherlands on a website minimum (without games 1 controller) And can be bought cheaper if you bid on it and seller accepts
Also found a slim for 100 without controller just the console and cable.

Just don't buy it from them. My older daughter moved out a couple years ago, and at Christmas I got her a ps4 from ebay. Made sure to check seller rep and that there were good pics and it was immaculate when she received it. Some good luck involved, but make sure you do your diligence. That all said DKoldies is utter bullshit.
I'd say just buy from a reputable source, I'm pretty sure there are sellers out there who actually refurbish and clean.

It's almost like they sent you a completely different order. I will say this, as far as mark ups go, the price advertised isn't nearly as insane a mark up compared to the usual. From what I can tell most people seem to be trying to sell PS4 slims for around $200 right now. So DKoldies only having a 20-33% mark up is more in line with what I would expect from a business with some overhead.
That said, still better off buying off ebay when they don't bother to clean or refurbish the inside or send you the right thing at all.
at that point, at least you know you are getting what you pay for, and for a better price
Ironically enough Gamestop just dropped the price of most used PS4s. You can get a Pro for the same price that DKOldies charges for slims

I noticed in one of their videos they pulled an Xbox from a box of stuff they bought. It had a 120gb HDD and the dude at dk oldies said oh I bet there is a bunch of games on there. I gathered from that they are planning on selling it as an Xbox with pre installed games. Even tho someone else bought and owns those games.

What’s funny is when he turns it on and sees that’s it’s not factory reset a while ago probably about the same time that he got the PS4. I emailed them asking if they wanted my PS4 and they also said they would factory reset it.

The only obvious conclusion here is that they grabbed the wrong PS4 for your order. Yours was fresh out of the refurbishment center, this one was waiting in line to be thoroughly cleaned and tested. Simple mistake. Obviously. Lol

I believe the jet engine is if you put it sideways. I had a PS4 sideways and it was loud. I placed it horizontal and it became quiet.

6:24 the rubber at the bottom - people like me who had problems with the ps4 ejecting discs on it's own at random times, we took that out cause we thought that did the trick.
The advantage of having it at that firmware i think you can jailbreak it which awsome its very rare to find one with this firmware so jailbreak it
Honestly at this point I'm not even surprised, You should grab a ps2 or gamecube off them and check those ones out because if they don't clean them those should be even dirtier
I think dk oldies should be more involved in the experience and communication with the customers and their purchases by sending them a very detailed list of specific flaws/ wear on the product prior to shipping it out, or in some other way...
I actually just opened my PS4 for the first time to clean the fan and both those warranty stickers came right off when I pulled on the corners. It's a PS4 that I bought brand new years ago, so I know it hasn't been opened before. I think what happens is the glue on those stickers tends to dry out over time.

Don't force a disc in -- that's how the fuses blow. Open it up, clean the disc drive as best possible (especially the rollers) and test again.
