    RECIPE:
    Ingredients:
    2 cups (400g) dried chickpeas, don’t use canned
    1 small Onion
    3-5 garlic cloves
    1/3 bunch Parsley
    1/2 bunch Cilantro
    4 tablespoons (30g) Flour/breadcrumbs or chickpea flour for gluten free version
    1¼ teaspoon Salt
    1/4 teaspoon Pepper
    1 teaspoon Cumin
    1 teaspoon Paprika
    2 teaspoons baking soda
    Oil for frying
    For serving: pita bread, tahini sauce, salad.
    Directions:
    1. Put the chickpeas in a large bowl over them by about 2-3 inches of cold water. Let soak overnight, then wash and drain.
    2. Put washed and drained chickpeas into a food processor, add garlic cloves, onion, parsley, cilantro, baking soda and spices. process until smooth but crumbly.
    3. Transfer to a large bowl, add breadcrumbs and mix until combined. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
    4. Heat oil to 360˚F (180˚C).
    5. Remove falafel mixture from the fridge and using wet hands shape into 1-inch balls.
    6. Fry the falafels in batches, 4-6 at a time. Until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel.
    7. Serve as is or in a pita bread with salad and tahini sauce.

    I am an Arab i am eating Falafel almost every day, i can tell from the shape and final result it is very good and professional, when you see the falafel greeny from inside and browny and crispy from outside and not fragile that an excellent falafel .

    2tsp of baking soda is too much. my falafel ended up tasting like baking soda.

    I made this today. I substituted the bread crumbs into 2 tbs of corn flour and I doubled the spices. Taste heavenly with garlic sauce! Thanks for the recipe.

    To make the falafel shape their is this Falafel shaper you use it and drop it to the fryer and vola you have the shape of the falafel

    Hello chef, add the coriander seeds, become delicious, and make falafel the smallest grill, because if they are large, leave the inside part unripe and don't put crumbs😘🇮🇶

    I made this today and that was so good I added coriender leaves and extra red chilie flakes and tasted like vegan chicken balls😀😋perfect falafel recipe😍

    Hello, for those who say their falafel fell apart while frying, add a 4 tablespoons of flour to the mixture, the flour helps the falafel held its shape. (It could be less or more than 4 depending on your anount)

    This is the best falafel recipe on youtube. Falafels are usually so dry, but this one came out super moist on the inside. Glad I came across this recipe.

    Love the smell of my kitchen when I make these. I don't use breadcrumbs when I make them but I add sesame seeds and some fresh parsley to it as well.. I also use a temperature controlled deep fat fryer, safety first!
