That’s what everyone says about their favorite comedians, bill burr, Chappelle, etc.
He really doesn't though, not only that but why he's personally my favorite he does very original bits, the magic Mike bit to me was funny for obvious reasons but its a brilliant joke, he has quite a few of those which is hard to find in stand up just because of its nature. I love Bill burr but I def think he has toned it down quite a bit but he was amazing for a long time. While Sebastian isn't exactly new he's my current new favorite but it may be because I'm Italian and he nails what it's like

I'm glad he's been making his comeback. Louis was on the top of the mountain when Dave Chapelle vanished, then it was all stripped away from him by his situation....which was strange, but not malicious or predatory. It made room for Kevin Hart and Bill Burr to really shine and thrust them both to the top.
Louis is still one of the funniest guys on the planet with a style that cannot be duplicated. I love his openness about everything that transpired as well. Very much in the vein of Richard Pryor and his mishaps turned into gold for the public thru his own tellings.
I feel like Kevin Hart was already huge before Louis’s situation. He’d already done Laugh at My Pain and starred in every single movie lol

@@RagnarLoudpak Kevin Hart has never been nor will he ever be close to the top. He had 1 - 1.5 great specials and then stuffed pyrotechnics down our throats in substitute of content. That's what happens to most comedians when they suddenly blow up, the content they've had a decade to polish without anyone noticing is aired and then people ask "what's next?" so they're forced to whip some shit together quickly. Most can't hack it. Dane Cook / Jim Gaffigan come off this way as well to a lesser extent. Thank god for shitty movies and NBA appearances or Kevin would be back in the Cellar as you said.

The episode with Robin Williams is SO funny! When they start talking shit about the guy they went to the funeral for, and then the scene at the strip club, with all the girls and even the DJ crying, with Night Ranger's "Sister Christian" playing over the p.a. was so god damn funny I had to rewind it and see it all over again lol

He's got his own style. He really does. He's not always the "best" or "funniest" but he has you hanging on every word. Like he has a way of making his obviously rehearsed bits feel unrehearsed sort of.
Nah man, to me it doesn't get any better than Louis CK. To me he surpasses even George Carlin. His early material was a bit weaker but nowadays this man is absolute fire
Fun Fact: Louis CK is also a movie director and made one of my favorite movies of all time: Pootie Tang. Such an underrated masterpiece.

Louis CK is a great comedian, but his TV show was truly amazing. Abstract, Lynchian, dark comedy with a lot of genuine emotion and heart. It was a critical darling before the unpleasantness.

John Caparulo. He's sort of an unknown comedian but his first special "Meet Cap" is fucking great. He reminds me of the funniest of your pals at the bar but on steroids. He does relatable normal sort of "20-something" age men's humor. I just thought he was incredible. Also I saw him live in Vegas one time in a tiny club at Harrah's just a couple years ago, having not heard anything from him in like 10+ years, there were maybe 30 people there, and he absolutely SLAYED. I laughed harder at his one joke than anything I've ever laughed at in my life and I'm not exaggerating.

Louis is in that spot where he got cancelled and came through it, so he's pretty much invincible to these cancelling losers. Plus he sells his shows on his own site and doesnt have to answer to anybody.
Louis CK's the best writer of all the comics. He doesn't need a voice, an edge to him or any sort of gimmick. It's just him and his lines. He's the best stand up comic alive IMO. While Bill Burr is the best well rounded comic (with his podcast, specials, tv show, and just overall his personality).
I saw Louie CK at Wembly Arena a few years ago and he was amazing.

I think a lot of what Louis does is to set up people to show the hypocrites they are. He does this often. Part of his brilliance. He’ll say something that’s so edgy to get such a major laugh but then he has a self-defense built up that ends up being legit that he points out hypocritical thinking.
Louis CK is one of the best comedians of all time! I understand art is subjective but honestly, you can't deny he's a very intelligent man and knows how to handle a crowd, a lot of other comedians wouldn't be able to pull off most of the things he says. Will just drop a list of comedians on here that I think most people should give a go if they love stand up comedy:

My grandfather lost both his legs in ww2 and still think this is hilarious. I was laughing at what he was saying and then later realized yeah my grandfather lost his legs. Basically everything should be fair game in comedy. It's up to the comedian to make it funny or the joke will just fall flat and suck
