I love the rossi 44 magnum. I went to the new zealand leaver action championships over in nelson creek up in a place called the kopra. Near the cooperites camp and i was using the rossi 44 magnum not expecting much but just went for fun. Well i got 6th in new zealand with it. Only let down was the 100 meter targets where off a bit with the short barrel. Such an awesome gun.

It really sucks when you get bad chafing. It’s not normally an issue but I think the river crossings didn’t help. Good tip to know for the future. Thanks🤙

I had a similar bang on top of the head took me over a week to get right again from concussion but also had this strange left calf muscle twinge for a few months later. Great hunt though good watch.

Why not a pistol or stick them with a blade guys lightn the load when covering distance 👍
Unfortunately pistols aren’t legal in New Zealand unless you have a special licence and you can’t use them for hunting. They would be ideal for pig hunting though. We often do have dogs that hold the pigs so we can just use a knife but a lot of those videos get age restricted because it doesn’t fit with CZcamss community guidelines. Dogs holding pigs etc. that’s why we now have dogs that just bark to keep the dogs in position while we get there and shoot them.

What kind of bullet are you using in the 44
We are currently using the Winchester super x .44 mag bullet. 240gr. But I don’t thing it makes a huge difference as long as you hit them in the right place.
I was curious I have the Rossi 44 mag in a 20 in barrel stainless

What are the pups out of guys
They are out of our original line. Their mum is the sister of jazz and the father is a from a distant deferent line. Got a bit of blue healer in them I think. Basically they are mongrels😂
