I love this dive computer, but there are a few things worth noting.
    1. It’s not great for those with failing eyesight, unless you wear prescription lenses or cheater lens attachments
    2. The backlit light could be brighter
    3. It seems you have to pair it to the transmitter every dive
    4. At last check it wasn’t Mac compatible
    5. LDS replaceable battery only
There are also things I love.
    1. It’s a fantastic first computer with long term commitments to diving in mind
    2. Plenty of colour choices
    3. It comes with the USB cable for uploading dives, and an extra strap so you can use it with a drysuit if you want
    4. Looks great as a daily wearable
    5. Solid construction, without feeling like your wearing a brick on your arm

Good dive watch, but as of July 2019 Suunto have removed the USB cable and the Wrist extension strap. FYI the strap is selling for around $50 to $60 AUD which is kind of a slap in the face after spending $500 on a dive computer... USB Cable was $89. So to sum up I could have gotten more value for Money for the $639 that I have spent, will in the future get something a little more expensive and just use this as a back up.
    Hope this helps someone.

I’m a new diver looking for my first computer and I’m torn between the Zoop Novo and the D4i Novo. I plan to commit long-term to diving although I will only probably do so recreationally. I also plan on freediving/spearfishing as well. By the looks of it it would seem that the d4i is the easy choice for me but i was told the Zoop Novo is the best choice starting out. Quite frankly, I don’t mind spending extra now for a long-term computer than having to upgrade anyway a few years in (if I get the Zoop Novo). My only concern is whether the D4i is the long-term computer i should be looking at. Which among the two do you think is the better option for me?

Well, one thing about freediving is the focus on being light and streamline. I see the zoop as a big blocky thing which interrupts normal water flow. That's why I would opt for the D4i Novo

I might be a bit late, but when my dad's old Suunto Stinger that I borrowed from him broke after 23 years, we were in Bonaire. So, like no one ever does, we went and bought a Suunto D4i Black, and it's by far the most practical computer I've ever had (granted, I've only used a Zoop when I did my Discover Scuba course) after the Stinger, plus the fact that you can use it as a watch for everyday use too. Although I have only had about 23 dives (?) with it, I love it :)
