    Ehh, I have a feeling that with a product like this it could very likely be 3-4 years before a Ring2 comes out. I mean, the Buds2 have been around for what? 2-3 years and we're FINALLY getting some Buds3? So something like a ring may take even longer to advance. I mean, that's really the only reason why Samsung would even really bother with a Ring2 is if new tech made it possible for 1) even more battery 2) a new sensor was engineered to fit in a ring.
    So yeah, I certainly wouldn't wait on a Ring2 to adapt. But maybe wait like 6 months for Samsung to work out any software bugs, maybe wait and see if there is a design flaw, etc.
    I'm not typically an early adopter. I've been watching the Flip & Fold for a while and the Fold6 finally caught my attention...no more gap when you've got it folded, the hinge looks a lot more protected, the crease looks better, etc. So maaaaaybe for the Fold7 I'll see what they're about. I just really like the idea of having a slightly skinnier phone for much easier 1-handed use but then you also have like a mini-TV screen that's perfect for multi-tasking. But it's been more a gimmick than legit to me until just days ago. Now if only they could find a place for an s-pen.

    • @mayuuumie
      @mayuuumie Před měsícem +1

      i felt the same about the flip, the 6 will my first. i like that the ring will be around for a multiple years. really make the money spent “worth it”. but yeah i’m waiting for more in depth reviews.

      @@Syvern. apparently has no idea what innovation can mean. Foldables are STILL just a gimmick. They have never been that durable. But Samsung has just made a foldable that looks like it might actually survive daily use for 2 years.

    Very nice review. However I would like you to add another category of users who would love to wear this ring. Those people who had to let go of their classic watches just to accommodate smart watches as it gives us so much information that we can’t think of not wearing it. Now when that info is available through a ring, I would love to wear my Tissot, Raymond Weil and Omegas. 😂

    Clarification: the Energy Score does not seem to use AI at all. The energy score is simp,y tallied from multiple metrics. Your sleep schedule (does it vary between night or is consistent), the amount of sleep you have, the heart rate variability (lots of heart rate spikes or dips during sleep), your previous day activity BASED ON YOUR ACTIVITY LEVEL (sedentary, moderately active, active, super active).
    None of the traits examined seem to need any AI at all. Its just buzzword. Its a simple parameter checking if your value of a given parameter is within the good zone or not.

    Meanwhile ringconn out here being cheaper and subscription free

  • @billyoung2254
    @billyoung2254 Před měsícem +1

    RingConn offers a ring for $229 a bit more than half . Their case recharges 18-20 times verses Samsung at 1 1/2 times! RingConn syncs with Google Fit as well. Love Samsung, but this just isn't competitive. The leader of Google was in attendance regarding AI. I wonder why Samsung in their partnership with Google wouldn't offer a direct link to Google Fit. It's important to me because I have to go through Fit to send results out to third parties. This would require a third party app to work between Samsung and Fit. As far as accuracy is concerned, I have seen comments of comparisons to chest straps and other devices to compare results. I didn't see that in the presentation this morning from Samsung. A quality wrist strap would make the most sense. I love kettlebells but the ring wouldn't play well together with them.

    I think people are valuing this ring like it's a cheap piece of tech. The galaxy ring is a ring, have you guys ever tried buying a titanium ring or a smart ring before? If you don't want to buy an accessory, then don't buy it. If you do want a solid ring that also tracks your health, then get the ring.
